Didn't see the game but what a total dumb play by Wade. You typically don't see Wade do something so boneheaded late in games

BUT...with that said, they still had the chance to foul or stop the last shot from going up(even though Lebron played him about as good as you can)

No way could they have fouled there. If you foul there Green is getting 3 shots easily. And why would they foul since they only had a 2 point lead?

Heat still a much better team. But, what you can see is that they are a aging team and cannot keep up with young legs. Take away LBJ and this team would not make the playoffs. LBJ is that good. LBJ is going to be given anything he wants to resign

I wonder why the Heat were so close to losing the NBA finals, even with Manu's horrible series. Surely wasn't anything to do with the Heat's age. San Antonio are led by far older guys obviously. The Heat's problem is something else. They are basically, not great. There are teams with more talent, and particularly more talented big men. It will be very difficult for the Heat to convince LeBron that they have enough talent for more rings. Since the big 3 were formed, the best big man they've been able to do add is Andersen and I guess Oden. There are no signs that Riley can make the necessary improvements.

The Heats 'problem' is complacency.

Coming off back to back championships, it isn't unexpected. We are in early November.

Does anyone actually believe teams like the Celtics, 76ers, etc... are beating the Heat because of anything other then playing harder, with more energy and urgency?

Young legs?
When is the last time a team like the Celtics with young legs won anything?
Veteran rosters that know how to pace themselves and try to peak late in the season end of on top when it matters.

Am surprised the C's won this one, though...

NEVER be surprised when the Celtics capitalize on dumb opposition play!

SMART basketball has been a trademark of theirs seemingly forever. As has never conceding ANYTHING till the finalbuzzer!

I agree. If I was not a Clippers fan, I'd be a Celtic fan.

This is the stupidest thing I heard. Miami would not win 45 games without LBJ? Really? Miami would be fighting with NYK for the 5th seed without Lebron. Take away Lebron and both Wade and Bosh numbers will increase significantly because instead of taking 13/14 shots, those 2 will be taking around 16 shots each and both are efficient players. Wade avg 20-21 PPG as robin and taking less shots than LBJ per game. If LBJ wasn't hear, he would easily avg 25 PPG or so on 18-19 shots while CB will be around 20 PPG on 15 or 16 shots per game. Beasley would probably start and give the Heat a good 12-14 PPG in 30 MPG.

:agree: Plus Wade is a traditionally great closer (greater than LeBron), so he can carry them in 4th quarters.

BTW all this talk about Miami being an aging/old team is flat out a lie. They have 3 players over the age of 35 and none of those guys are starters. 2 of the 3 guys 35+ play 20 MPG or less while the other play about 28 MPG. The rest of the 7-8 players in Miami normal rotation are not old at all except for Haslem and Lewis who both hardly play that much. Here are the ages of the rest of main players.

Chalmers-27
Cole-25
LBJ-28
Bosh-29
Wade-31
Beasley-24

These are Miami's most important 6 players excluding Battier, Bird, and Ray who are all productive bench players. Stop with the lies please about Miami being so old.
