Sorry to be completely off topic, but what exactly do you guys mean when you say "linear thinking?" When I hear "linear thinking" I think of a step by step process used to reach a conclusion or solution. I would say the type of thinking that recruits, their parents, and certain members of the board aren't so adept at is "logical" or "rational" thinking.

Sorry again, I feel like a UVA fan for typing this.

Linear thinkers can be lost when somethng is missing in a logical string.

Nonlinear thinkers anticipate the unknown and discover their world by asking questions.

One is sequential, one isn't.

Both can be logical and rational, and you just get to the solution a bit differently.

Nonlinear thinkers (outside the box)

Linear thinkers (step by step, by the book)

High school football recruits (a scrambled mess of unrealistic dreamers)

If DJ Reid is visiting then it might be him. If Burks visits and VT pops the full offer on him he may go as well. It may be wise to do that anyways as it might hold a bit more weight and impact than a phone call. You can pull kids in when you sideswipe them with stuff like this at a visit.

We are in his top 5 but that is as high as we will make it IMO. He will not be coming to Blacksburg unless something drastic changes

The schools with superb academics have the best chance at landing Kalambayi, with Stanford and UVa as the best bets and Cal & Duke not too far behind.

As for Larenz Bryant, his top 5 in order is South Carolina, Clemson, Florida, UVa and Georgia.

Never know. He has stated he wants to commit at the Army game, but kids commit all the time well in advance. Of course, it could be a Joel Caleb situation in which he does in fact wait. Just have to be patient.

They have a chance...just not much of one. I don't know that I would consider it "realistic."
