I have not seen Dooley play no but Myself and Jermadams have seen Jackson play twice this year. He was disappointing to say the least. On tape yes Dooley is better.

This is my first post. I have been reading for quite sometime. I thought I would wait and post when I had something to add to these forums.

I feel the evaluation in the above linked article is very accurate about Motley as a QB. I have seen Motley play several times. I would be very surprised if he ends up as a QB. I will say that I think he has loads of potential at Safety. He is a sure tackler, fast, never shys from contact, and stands 6'4. I honestly think the young man will start at safety for VT one day. However, the absence of other QBs in this and the last class is mind boggling.

I agree with you on this. I was disagreeing with the overall assessment. i think that Motley can play safety at Tech, regardless of what BossSarge mentioned, or WR. I just disagree that "he was someone we got because we didn't want GT to have him".

sounds like Ekanem has cancelled his visit to ND...sounds pretty promising..he'll announce on NSD at 9 AM and we'll be streaming live on washingtonpost.com according to Paul Tenorio

I don't have a dog in this fight. I am just messin with you, jerm and boss. Had an opportunity for a cheap shot and took it. My apologies. Salem is a nice school/city, with great academics, a kick ass baseball and football stadium, and great athletics (even though..like Christiansburg, tries [and succeeds at times] in recruiting a good portion of their athletes throughout the area..)

I will leave it at that.

Motley IMO would be better fit on defense. Is a bit raw but could play QB or WR if push comes to shove. I think Jackson is the best in this area this year. May end up being Dooley once all is said and done.

Wouldn't surprise me if hot-head Kelly told him not to come unless ND had a serious chance of getting him.

haha its cool, no walk on tho... its D1-AA but Richmond offered a kid last year and two kids the year before...we do have a sophomore this year that BETTER get a VT offer...his name is Alex Light, 6' 5" 270, OT w LOOONG arms..starts on the BBall team so he has good feet....but i agree w boss, Jackson wasnt impressive, but i think Motley would be best suit at safety

Great size already at 270. Long arms and good feet make for a great OLine. Good luck to Light, I am sure VT is already checking him out.

I have seen Dooley play. He has the height, frame, and his speed was impressive as well. Motley and Dooley will both redshirt, add some size, and have a great shot at playing in the future. Keep in mind that both of these players played both ways on their respected teams. Dooley was a RB/LB. VT wants him at DE believe. Motley was QB/S.

That Schiano is going to be a Buc is a little surprising. Very good coach but not quite pro material IMO. Hope he has success but feel like he will be a little in over his head. Rutgers is putting together a very stellar class this year (4, 4star commits per Rivals.com), and they are on the short list for several others.
