I believe within the last week. He said that if he had to choose a school right now it would be Auburn because of how familiar he is with the staff, but he isn't making a decision any time soon. Tennessee will be a factor, as will VT in the end.

ok some how i must have missed that. I hope im wrong but all along i've heard that he is getting a real heavy push toward tennessee from family, friends, etc. Im not real concerned with defensive backfield recruiting, thats one place on the field where i feel like if kid 1a doesnt want to play here kid 1b would love to.

Isn't Holsey being recruited to play both ways? Would love to have him in O&M and not at UTENN

Yes, but his ideal position is DB which I'm sure the coaches will tell him. I think the both ways is to allow him the choice, but they'll push for DB.

"He had three interceptions last season, all three were returned for touchdowns, and none of them were less than 93 return yards (the others were 97 and 108 yards)."

Anyone have a general idea of how many recruits will be at the spring game this weekend? Also, who are the big ones that might be there? I think we walk away with 1-2 commits after this weekend...

Right now, it's close to 75 recruits of confirmed guys. Could be more.

Biggest names are Stefon Diggs and Darius Hamilton.

Kyle Tucker had a modified list on his blog earlier, but he may have taken it down since he basically copied and pasted it from Hokiehaven. Not sure if it's still up, I'll see.

Unfortunately the Stadnik boys will not be making it up....

As for Hokes:

Flowers
Hall
Adibi
Vick
Randall
Smith
Royal
Chancellor...

...probably a bunch more

I wonder if Tyrod, Ru and Darren will be there?

So if we were to try and pinpoint a single source which can be attributed to setting this weekend as being a big recruiting deal and creating a level of excitement with all of this, who would it be? SB?

The coaching changes as a whole. Both the addition of Brown and beamer and the overall change in philosophy among the coaches.

If you wanted to pinpoint it on one singe thong though.....

....Curtis Grant

Well I am glad to see this kind of fire around the team. I have always been excited about VT football, but this year is different. But I have to go back to 2005 when I was THIS excited / stoked about all things VT football.

LOL at the typo 46. But I'm sure Hokie fans have called Curtis Grant much worse than a thong:pound:
