If we traded Carr we would incur the same cap hit that we would if we cut him. So, it really doesn't help us. Plus, the team you trade him to has to pay him $8M this year. Why would they want to do that?

not saying to do it, but we get Adrian Peterson while getting rid of an overpaid CB

I don't see it and still think Carr has more value in Dallas at lesser $$.
8M isn't 10M and Dallas needs their draft picks

agree but i don't see Carr taking a pay cut and i don't see the Cowboys being willing to pay him what he is owed for the next couple of years so maybe it is time for a divorce and both parties go their separate ways. maybe a trade would be the better route for both and the Cowboys are going to have eat someone's salary to unload him. maybe the cowboys could get AP to agree to add a year or 2 at the same amount he is owed now if they guaranteed half of the money

Carr will be a Cowboy next year, bank on it. The only question is how much money he will be playing for? Very well could be for his full salary. Dallas will probably cut him after the 2015 season.

I think Carr in Dallas one more season is the way to go.

Could be. I think we will know a lot more in late August than we do today. If we take a CB early and he seems to be ready for a big role I think Carr gets an ultimatum. His call on what happens from there

I think it's very possible they look at him at FS nest season

I just can't see it. Carr is horrible in zone coverage, and doesn't play the ball at all. He would be one of my last choices to play FS. That's just me though.

Makes sense. But....Vikes' owners/management is either delusional about AP's real worth in today's marketplace for a 30 year old RB out of action for a year with an anchor contract around his neck (AP or not), or they are just posturing now for more trade value before or during the draft. It would make sense to let more teams in on any trade talks obviously if they let teams know now (a week before the draft), he's available for trade to re-negotiate his contract roadblock before any possible trade. If the Vikes want to roll the dice on a player not interested in playing for them anymore and paying him $13Mil this season, lol, then go ahead and be the dumb-asses. Either way, he will force his way out this season or next if he really wants to move on...only then his trade value will obviously be diminished.

I see this team drafting or going after either Gurley or Gordon in the 1st round if the AP thing never materializes. Running game is just too important to them.

While I totally agree with you Carr played two games at FS a couple years ago due to injuries and did OK. In This defense I don't see it. It would make him do what he is worst at even more often.
