Unless Kevin Johnson from Wake Forrest is there at #27, I think Dallas' best scenario would be to trade away #27 for a 2nd and 3rd (if possible). Get Coleman and grab the best DB available in the second round. Then look for a LB and DL in the 3rd. BPA from there on out, with a possible QB in the 4th.

Greg Hardy made it possible to wait on a pass rusher.

I mean this sincerely but it was really refreshing as an Eagle fan to read that you Cowboys fans are NOT quick to sell your soul to land the NFLs best RB. Most everyone here is holding AP accountable for what he did and in todays NFL most people dont give a crap just as long as they add talent. Nice job guys.

AP would make me think Dallas would be the favorite to win the NFC.

I really have no sympathy for him. It seems like he is trying to make the Vikings organization out to be the bad guys for a situation he created. Much props to you guys. Now if Minny cut him and Dallas signed him at a doable contract it makes complete sense. But I honestly expected you guys to act more like savages in trying to get him to become a Cowboy. Honestly as an Eagles fan I'd hate Dallas to land AP but as an NFL fan it would be absolutely amazing to see what he could do behind that powerful OLine.

Reports are the Vikings want from Oakland a 1st and a starting caliber CB. They will settle for a 1st and 2nd. Considering Oaklands picks are higher than Dallas do the ask for more.
I say to hell with giving any more than ONE 3rd round pick.

I saw that report too. IMO, it would be beyond stupid for any team to give up a 1st rounder, a starting CB/2nd rounder, and then pay Peterson 10+ million. Minnesota has to be delusional to think they are going to get that kind of haul for a soon to be 30 year old RB. The Vikings seem to think this is their "Hershall Walker" moment. LOL

1 am not in favor of a trade because of the cap situation but if the Cowboys did it i would offer them a couple players (Carr & someone), a 2015 3rd round pick & a 2016 4th (with an upgrade to the 3rd round if he rushed for 1800 yards in 2025)

You slumming Bro LOL? I think AP plays for the Vikings without a doubt. There's no way the Vikes take less than a #1+, and any team that would give that and an 8 figure salary to a 30 year old back would have to be out of their minds. Then again....Raiders

Ha, that'd be funny if we sent Carr and his contract/poor play in a trade for AP and his lousy contract. I honestly would consider that trade if it involved our 2nd rounder - might even consider it if we swap our first two picks for their second. Carr + #27 & #60 for AP + #45. Hmmmmm......

I think we'd be better on offense than last year.

Defense? would seem corner at 45 or bust.
I kinda hope Carr does the pay cut thing as we get closer to June. The dbackfield concerns me next season with Carr and that much more without him

I simply read it as AP is not on the trade market. No delusions.

Yes that will work???? Let's see CB already looks like our biggest need in this draft and we will just increase that need by sending Carr to Minny. I am in no way saying Carr is good but I can't see the reason to weaken a already weak position. I won't be shocked if Dallas picks two CB's by the 4th rd.

depending on the mock draft you chose we could easily end up with Gurley or Coleman and i think both fit well in our offensive program
Gurley had major knee surgery and is damaged goods. Gordon would be a better pick.

The reason it is appealing to me is that Carr may be cut anyway, why not get something of value for him? It is possible he restructures his contact, at which point I wouldn't be so open to a trade. We have Scandrick and need to find a better CB than Carr and Mo anyways. Like you suggested, we could add two in the draft.

The vikes needs of trade him. He's still good now, but he won't be when the Vikings are actually a good team again. Trade him for some draft picks to help in the rebuild.

Yes he's probably cut if he doesn't take a pay cut. Hence the reason I wont be shocked if we draft two CB's early. Trading Carr and those picks means you will be short at CB no matter how you slice it to fix a posistion that doesn't require that drastic of a change. Keep the picks and and see if this OL is as good as it is claimed they are.

correct we have Scandrick and White to step in this coming season (technically Scandrick has been our best CB the last 2 years) and we could easily draft a couple of CB's and a FS this year
