So make that Zimmers 4th OC.

I thought the Zimm wanted to force the run too much last night and he couldn't defend the run. Wilson had less than 100 yards passing but Seattle had over 200 yards running. Vikes were terrible on 3rd or 4th and short. The only play that worked were two QB sneaks.

I kind of agree, but again Zimmerman done what we are always bitching about Gruden not doing

Sheehan brought up on his podcast today the idea that Jay could end up in Minnesota next year as the OC. He coached with Zimmer in Cincinnati and Kirk knows Jay's offense like the back of his hand.

Maybe. I think Cousin's would have rather played for McVay or Kyle.

Zimmerman: "I want to run the ball."

Vikes OC's: "Let's pass the ball, it's a passing league."

Zimmerman: "As long as I'm head coach, we run the ball."

OC's: "OK, we run the ball and I get fired?"

Ownership: "We were 13-3 with Keenum and running the ball primarily got us there. Here's a good idea, let's spend 84 million on a QB so that we can keep running the ball." Brilliant!

KC has the best WR duo in the league and still cant win big time games. This was the knock on him in Washington now he has better offensive talent and still cant get it done. The Vikings missing the playoffs would be one of the biggest embarrassments in the NFL this year.

I agree, the Vikings by far are the most disappointing team in the league. Their fans cannot be happy when it was universally promoted that the missing piece was at QB. In future terms it may prove to be a great signing for them, but as of this moment, Kirk's reputation as that guy who plays well and gets numbers, are overshadowed by his persistent disappearance in big games. He has to quickly shake that image because it has followed him to Minnesota and it won't take much more, for talk of a wasted 84 million to take hold. Viking fans are really good people, but in this league winning is everything. Trading 13-3 for 84 million and a 6-6-1 record, fair or not, is a step in the wrong direction.

Why is this on the Redskins board? It's not a Washington personnel decision.

Since you're responding to it, I'm pretty sure that he's going to read it, considering all of the love that you two have for one another's perspective on Kirk!:D

KC is in his 1st year in thier offense , here he would be in year 5

the vikings , as a team , arent what they were last season

but lets not state the obvious here , his team has the final WC , we might win another game and his replacement wasnt up to the task without the defense and run game and since both arent doing the job no way CDC carries this team

hell he couldnt even get a lead change , all damn year . if the other team scored first he couldnt even make that shit up

Flip seems over hyped to me. Seriously, it isn’t like he has the pedigree of success in Houston, Washington, and Atlanta...man we could use a guy like that as the coach.
