It may. He has shown he can throw down field, across the middle and out of the backfield. He just has to prove he can do it consistently, while avoiding a pass rush.

That's just it.....Nobody knows for sure.
I'll give him this season, then we'll know if he has it or not.
I'm not some big Ponder apologist, but I'll give him the time to develop.

Last year was a step in the right direction for him. I feel that all he can do is build on that and continue to improve. Of course only time will tell and I am hoping for the best.

I think he had good games in some of the losses last season as well. The defense laid an egg in some of those without a doubt.
