LT's reaction was equally frightening. You knew he was seriously hurt even if you didn't see it, just by his panicked reaction.

I would have thought the same thing, if I had seen it in real time.
When I seen the replay I already knew he was moving his arms.

I knew he was f'd in real time, but the slow-mo, from the reverse-angle made me ill.

Oh man...it sucks hard ass to be a Bears or Vikings fan right now. These past two seasons have been detrimental to my health. I couldn't have made up a more nightmarish two seasons.

Worse for the Bears fans. That offense was starting to kick some ass before Cutler went down.
Vikes were horrible from the start..

That's exactly the train of thought I'm on.

Make it to the NFC Championship, lose at home to the fucking Packers, who go on to win it all, and whom we had TWO chances to eliminate. Only to come back this year even better in my opinion, with what I thought was a better chance to defeat the Packers, (cuz, I agree, they were dominating right before Cutty went down) and have em' shit the bed the way it did....killin me smalls.

Former Vikings QB Fran Tarkenton: 'Christian Ponder is fine' (w/ VIDEO)LexisNexis Feed

Updated Dec 21, 2011 5:26 AM ET
Fifty years ago, Fran Tarkenton was the rookie quarterback for the inaugural Minnesota Vikings, a team that won just three games that season.

Fifty years later, Tarkenton isn't giving up on current Vikings rookie quarterback Christian Ponder after a few rough weeks.

Tarkenton said he struggled as a rookie, too -- and so did Peyton Manning.

"Christian Ponder is fine," Tarkenton said. "Leave him alone. He'll grow. He'll make mistakes. He'll learn from the mistakes. He'll get better next year."

Among the other highlights in this week's TwinCities.com video:

-- Tarkenton said if the Vikings somehow manage to get the No. 1 overall pick, that would be great for the franchise. Should they draft Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck? Only if the organization believes he is the better choice than Ponder for the future of the team. Should they keep both Luck and Ponder? No. Is Ponder a good quarterback? Yes. Should they trade the No. 1 pick? That, Tarkenton said, might end up being the best option. "Maybe you trade the No. 1 pick to get three No. 1s. ... The best thing is to get the most, best football players in Minnesota," he said.

-- Tarkenton said he appreciates running back Adrian Peterson's character, and his decision to come back Sunday after missing three weeks with a high ankle sprain, but wonders if playing right now on a 2-12 team is wise. "I'd like to see him just take a rest," Tarkenton said. "I'd like to see him stay healthy.

Editor's note: Fran Tarkenton is a former quarterback with the Minnesota Vikings and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He also is an advocate for small businesses and the founder of OneMoreCustomer.com. Now Tarkenton adds the title of Vikings analyst for TwinCities.com and the Pioneer Press.

Ponder might as well get as many mistakes out as he can over these next couple games. Just treat it as a practice learning tool. Got nothing to loose. Also agree that AP should maybe take down his playing time a bit. Very cool to see how he really wants to be in there though.

Ponder needs to loosen up again, like when he first stepped in for McNabb.
I heard his press conference yesterday..He said he's more or less playing not to lose, trying to be safe. He needs to get out there and attack the defense again. We'll see if he takes his own advice..

Yeah, I agree JR. If he can do that he will have more confidence and better results. Someone needs to shake him up and tell him to have a little fun and not be so serious.
