So does VT have 2 scholarships still available for Buzz to work with? We lost Raines, Eddie, Rankin and Thompson. We are still solid with Bibbs and Hudson. Have to think we need a couple of post players.

I think we have 3. Don't forget that TJ Lang decommitted so that opens one up as well. So we have 4 with players leaving, Bibbs and Hudson take 2, and that leaves 2 more.

I'm pleased with those coaching hires.

Mizzou's coach just left for Tulsa so I bet they're out of the running now. Hill is still going to get a ton of attention but I got my fingers crossed big time that his love of Buzz will lead him to the burg

He said he's unsure of VT because its hard to win in the ACC. Hopefully Buzz and Co can smooth that issue over.

Well as a top-60 guy in the country he could go to a name school that is already a lock to make March Madness. If he comes to VT, then he'll be a key part in making that happen. So I can appreciate the concern.

That said, I look at the guys that VT is suddenly in the top-5 for and I am floored. Could Buzz turn things around in only a couple years? Compare and contrast this spring to Seth-->JJ. When the Seth firing went down, guys bailed on us and nobody came in to replace them (maybe Adam Smith). But this spring, the Hokies are mentioned for a ton of the late prospects. And look at the staff that Buzz has put together. Guys who have some renown for what they have done; compare to JJ's guys who got quotes like "he used to be in Virginia a decade ago and has some ties with high school coaches". Buzz has to close the deal on some top players but it really feels like we could be on the fast track to excellence. Where's my checkbook!!! It is time to reward the athletic department for spending money on a quality guy.

well said. Williams is already creating a huge buzz (yes, i am ashamed of myself for that) for our basketball program. I have never been so excited for a basketball season to get here, and the season just ended! I can't wait to see what we can do in just a couple of years when Buzz's guys start flowing in

Hill and Pierce are taking officials to VT today I believe. Getting them to visit is big. I hope Buzz can do some sweet talking and get them to join him at VT.
