after the turd his defense laid last week,i want no part of quinn.
Every good coach has laid an egg here and there. Belicheater, Andy, Shanny, Walsh, Shula, Gibbs, Knoll, Landry, Johnson, Parcells, etc. It's being a little short-sighted for that bad egg to mean you don't hire them.

Absolutely!! Body of work counts and must be weighed heavily when making these franchise-altering decisions.

I'm on record in the Lions forum saying Aaron Glenn will be a better HC than Ben Johnson. Although I think both will be good. Ben Johnson is a good play caller, but the better HC attribute is his flexibility and adopting to what he has to work with.

Glenn reminds me a lot of Mike Tomlin. Unflappable and his players love him. But as laid back as he is 98% of the time he's got some fire in him too. If you're looking for the next hot genius that's Johnson. If you're looking for flat out the best leader I think Glenn has to be a serious consideration.

That is enlightening, i wasn't convinced Glenn was ready for such a role, but if he's got locker room love that's whats up. Still not my 2nd or 3rd choice but happy to hear that

Shit, think about how many bad games have been produced by Slowik and Johnson. Johnson has been known to unnecessarily abandon the run game and call pass play series that end in INTs. Slowik's offense in Houston has repeatedly bogged down when the QB can't hit the deep ball. It's a miracle they get hired at all, right? LOL. You can't be short-sighted! They are damn-good HC candidates!

I checked the date. These odds are from Jan. 17th. Do the boys in the desert know something we don't?

Odds, by definition, change as preferences change / people get new information / the winds shift.

The last list of odds had bellicheck and bienemny high on the likelihood side of things.

I’m glad this list isnt suggesting that its lilely that Bellicheck becomes the head coach.

As for who I prefer: I’m undecided. Everybody but Dan Quinn seems intriguing. Dan Quinn seems like a AAAA guy in baseball - good enough to be a damn good minor leaguer (“coordinator”) but not good enough for the Show.

I'm Slowik, Johnson, or MacDonald. Odds are also set and adjusted based on the bets coming in. Guys who bet for a living are known and when those people place bets the odds shift.

Based on this latest chart. Some heavy gamblers are starting to place big money on MacDonald. I still think Ben would have to blow the interview to not get it, or if Tepper drops a mountain cash in his lap.

Keim's latest pod.

Allen wants to stay, but that situation is something to keep an eye on.

The three names Keim has been hearing the most lately in regard to the HC job are: Ben Johnson, Raheem Morris, and Dan Quinn.

Said it doesn't mean anyone else is out, those are just the names he keeps hearing. Those three in particular.

Keim cont........

There is no clear number one candidate and they will not shy away from a defensive coach if he's the best candidate.

Sure but what does best mean? Experience? Youth? What defines best? If Peters wants to go younger with no HC exp its Johnson, Slowik, and MacDonald if its experience in a HC its Quinn. If its a rebuild you would think it would be a younger HC.

Keim made it seem like they are looking for leadership qualities and who best aligns with Peters and the overall vision. Alignment is a word you will continue to hear. Me speaking: I think it is important to Harris that his GM and HC are on the same page.

Tell me why the "Yikes?"

b/c he has no HC exp. and is not a popular young name around HC circles like a Johnson or MacDonald. IS he a better D Coordinator than Macdonald or Quinn? IMO its a no.
