Do you see any gems in this bunch?

My top 3 would be

Malik Reed OLB- Great college pass rusher. Reminds me of Holland signing last year.

Kelvin McKnight- Great college WR and speed just small. Playmaker.

Alijah Holder- Great tools just needs to put them all together.

Do you think anyone would try to snake him off of our Practice Squad if we tried to stash him there? QB1-Flacco, QB2-Lock, QB3-Rypien on the PS?

The Broncos guaranteed Rypien $146,000 - he will only be gone if someone takes him for the active roster and the league minimum pays more.

Not at first maybe later on. Once he is on our practice squad we always have the right to activate him if someone else wants him too though.

I hope if that is the plan with him (PS) that they time it right and that we can keep him there.

Yeah. I do remember that they gave him a really nice salary for a PS guy. He's got to know that our QB situation is fluid and that he has a really good chance of sticking around for the long haul. Just hide the guy. Don't let him play in the preseason like they did with Sloter.

May I suggest the 6 drawer Snap On roll cart .. Six spacious drawers, a lift up lid with pistons and lifetime warranty, all made in the USA

A great deal for aspiring the CB

A short article and a video interview with George Aston

I realize that roster spots come at a premium, but if a team is going to use the FB, why carry only one ?? .. We saw it happen with Jano when he was injured, leaving the team with no FB ..

I think you're either in or you're out as far as using a FB, and if you're in, you gotta carry two ...

PS seems a likely option for a guy like Aston, but I love the FB spot - these guys are throwbacks and football players ...

I would only carry 2 if the backup is a key special teams player.

Broncos undrafted rookie spotlight: George Aston

The idea is that pretty much nobody is going to try to claim some undrafted rookie FB off of another team's PS. So we can actually use our PS as it was intended, a place to sign someone to so they can continue to practice with us without using up a roster spot.

I'm going to add Joe Dineen ILB to the list of guys who can make the roster of 53. Certainly he will be developed on the PS if not on the roster.

Here's some reasons:

1) Fangio likes guys who can tackle. Joe Dineen led the NCAA for two straight years in tackles - averaging 12 a game. One third of those were tackles behind the LOS.

2) The recently fired Kansas HC - who coached Chris Harris too - says Dineen is in the Chris Harris category as a steal in the draft.

3) The Broncos appear to be going to interior Dlinemen who penetrate into the backfield. The tradition way to attack a penetrating defense is to run right at it. Fangio needs at least one ILB on the field who can clean up RBs and QBs who slip past the defensive rush and make the tackle. This makes Josey Jewell valuable and it makes a guy line Dineen as insurance for the position.

4) Dineen is not a speed merchant, but he did not get invited to the combine and had a tweaked hammy on his pro day when he ran a 4.65 40.

5) Dineen is football smart.
