LaMichael James is a guy I would be incredibly happy with us drafting.

Looks like USC OT Matt Kalil has actually decided to declare.

Only way this could be good news is if it pushes Riley Rieff down to the Niners (unlikely). It's bad news, however, if the Rams take him Kalil. :(

Smart decision by Kalil. Bad news for Barkley if he returns.

USC T Matt Kalil has decided to turn pro, per sources. Projected as top-5 pick; premier LT prospect. No word on Barkley. #NFL32 #ESPN #USC

Better hope Minnesota gets the 2 pick.

That leaves St. Louis with maybe Justin Blackmon at 3? Maybe a QB?

I'd be fine with that. Blackmon is a great prospect, but I don't see him as a game changer like AJ Green.

By the way:

Vikings SOS: .5673 (118-90)
Rams' SOS: .5817 (121-87)

:)

I wouldn't mind passing on Blackmon twice a year....

I'd much rather face Blackmon than Kalil. You can put a safety over Blackmon; nuthin' you can do 'bout Kalil.

That's awesome that Kalil is going pro, but I don't see the Rams winning another game. The Vikes could win the last two to finish 4-10. I would love to see them lose, just to get the second pick. They need Kalil desperately no doubt.

Jones was very adamant all along he was staying. He just transferred to Georgia this year and I think feels he owes the Bulldogs more than one great year for welcoming him back and giving him the opportunity.

Yeah he's all Dawg.

This is actually his second year at UGA, he had to sit out a year.

I like Green better than Blackmon, but like Blackmon better than Julio Jones. I'm in agreement I'd rather them take the receiver over the LT. Can't see them going QB again unless it was Luck at #1.

Best case scenario for the rams is if they're picking #2 and someone at #4 moves up a few spots to leapfog for Barkley. Then not only do they end up with Blackmon (or even Kalil) but get a bunch more ammunition to seriously turn things around.

I'd love to see DeCastro on the 2012 9ers' OL, he's a true beast and the Stanford o-line he captained helped Luck look as good as he did most of the past two seasons. Plus he was a veritable road grader on run blocking that helped the Tree have one of the premier rushing offenses in college ball. Yes I know Kwame came out of Stanford too, but I don't foresee missing with DeCastro.

Hmm...not seeing an 'edit' button...
What made me think that DeCastro might be just our ticket @ RG was this scouting report from draftbreakdown.com:

DeCastro is an intelligent player and understands his assignments very well. He never seems to be fooled by blitzes in the pass game, and does an excellent job leaving a double-team to pick up an incoming defender. In the run game, he locates defenders extremely well and is seemingly always in the correct position.

Aaron Murray confirms that he's staying another year despite turning in paperwork.
