Oh wait, mine was ounces...never mind...
He did about 50 pounds more than twice his body rate for one rep? A lot of weight for sure. I used to lift weights with this young Asian guy. This guy couldn't have weighed more than 140 pounds. I spotted him bench pressing 260 pounds using dumbells for five reps. That is just as impressive.
I worked with this skinny 145lb TSgt. Watched him bench 300. Have no idea how the fuck he did it.
The guy I watched was having a friendly comp with a guy 50+lbs heavier. The heavier guy out lifted him but he wasn't exactly proud of that win.
Damn I thought the 550 I put up was a lot...
I got 285 for 3 reps back when I lifted heavier.... I weighed about 170 .... I don't lift heavy anymore though... I"m a rep guy now, my bones told me so ....
It was just 4 of us after work. Not too many in that gym at midnight.LOL, especially in a crowded gym. I big guy doesn't want to be seen having trouble outlifting a small guy witho a lot of people around.
Did you ? Seriously hit 550 ? If so, how much do you weigh ?
Years ago, I was in a weight-lifting class. I was 1700 pounds. I was watching guys put max 850 pounds on the leg lift. (machine) I thought that was cute. I did the max 850 with one leg......(they could all bench more than me)

I have a suspicion he was being sarcastic. His following post was key.
