Of course he got benched for Orton, not Fitz.

I watched all the games. Manuel played himself out of his job. His performance was so sub-par he pretty much forced the coaching staff to make the change. I doubt if he was at all surprised by the move.

No reason to believe he won't get a fair shake during training camp. Naturally the coaches want the best QB on the field, whoever that turns out to be. Right now, I tend to think Cassel is the favorite, because his experience should make it easier for him to learn a new system under new coaches relatively quickly.

He'll get a shot, but the switch to Orton was inevitable. EJ's last start, against the Texans, was the worst quarterbacked game I've ever seen. Fitzcrapstick and the Titans offense did absolutely nothing. JJ Watt beat us single handedly.

As for Taylor, I think it would take a meltdown from Manuel/Cassel (not far from it I guess) for him to start.

I would be shocked if Cassel is not starting week 1. Im hoping Manuel does well and beats out Cassel for the job. However i don't see that happening. They could use Taylor in some wildcat sets which could be effective. #BillsMafia
