Tyrod Taylor in Bills' QB Mix

In addition to Matt Cassell, Tyrod Taylor will also reportedly compete with EJ Manuel for the starting job in Buffalo. Could be one of the more interesting position battles around the league this summer, in my opinion, since the Bills have a chance to have significantly improved their offense this offseason. Of course, one of their three QBs stepping up to take control of the starting job would presumably be a key factor for that to happen.

I thought it was kind of interesting that he turned down an offer from the Broncos in order to sign with Buffalo. That suggests to me both that he was told that he has a chance to earn the starting job in Buffalo and that Kubiak thinks that he can play in the league.

Agreed. Have to figure that the Bills signing two new QBs to compete with EJ isn't exactly a vote of confidence in him. He could pretty quickly go from a first-round pick and starting QB to out of the league.

Definitely happy to see him get a chance to start. Met him a couple of times on campus and he's a great guy, easy to root for. If he does win the job, Bills fans will love him. He's looked capable of being a solid back up in all the preseason games I've seen him play in Baltimore and also good enough to where you ask "Hmm. Maybe he could be a starter". So now we'll actually get to find out. He was never gonna push Flacco for playing time in Baltimore.

I don't think he or Tyrod the Terrible is gonna beat out Cassell for the number 1 this yr, and if EJ can't beat out TTT, he should be selling burgers at BK.....
What I've seen of both, I'd say quite assuredly that EJ is a far better prospect.....
Tyrod will be cut before the season starts IMO......Not even a good backup at this level, Canada awaits !!
