Still better than Lofton ever thought of being...

I have Lofton better than Kirby on my CFers list, nothing against Kirby. Like I said, Kirby was a great hitter but pretty damn good defender but when you have a 320 avg and .360 obp...meh. You rarely see a guy with that high of an average and their obp being just pretty good.

A very patient hitter, had some pop too. Maybe he needed to get in better shape but looking at his iniury report, he was just glass.

2000 - strained muscle in right hand - out for season
2002 - bone bruise left wrist - 24 games
2003 - stress fracture metacarpal bone - 61 games
2004 - lumbar strain - 64 games, fractured cheekbone - out for season
2005 - right heel contusion (to avoid a tag) - 24 games
2006 - fractured right femur in collision - out for rest of season and 2007 season
2008 - injured right wrist tendon swinging a bat - out remainder of season
2009 - strained right hammy - 15 games

Looks like he had a lot of hand, wrist issues

lolzzz

Gold Gloves = Kirby
Fielding % = Kirby
Arm Strength = Kirby

Lofton never had more than 73 RBI, Kirby had more than that every season of his career aside from his rookie season, even the season he only played 108 games he had 112 RBI.

The most hits in the first 10 seasons of their career of any player in the history of the game before Ichiro and Lofton is better because he had more steals and took more walks. That's just silly! Literally the only thing Lofton was better than Kirby in was he was faster, Kirby was better at every other aspect of the game...

Dude...Lofton was a leadoff hitter. Did you know Rickey never had more than 74?? Raines never had more than 71.That isn’t their job. Comparing a leadoff hitter to a 2-3 hitter really isnt fair both ways. They both had different strengths and both great fielders. Just bc Kirby had more GG’s doesnt make him better...he could have faced a weaker position group in his time.

Actually funny enough Kirby was winning the GG every year, almost, until Lofton came along and won it 3 straight years lolzzz

They are only the leadoff hitters in the first inning, I was using a stat that favored Kirby just like you are doing with walks, it was Lofton's job to get on base and he barely did it better than Kirby who's job it was to knock in runs which he was way better at.

Up until 2011 they awarded 3 Gold Gloves to outifelders, not until 2011 did they award gold gloves to LF,CF,RF.

Lofton won his first GG when Kirby was 33 years old. Why did Lofton only win 4? If he was so great you'd think he would have won more than 4

Griffey and Devon White were both there most of the time that both players were winning GG's

Then how come he is never picked in these mocks...bc he adds more to a team than Kirby does. Lofton being a very good leadoff hitter and there are always going to be better 2 or 3 or 5 hole hitters than Kirby especially in CF.

I have picked Kirby more times than Kenny in these mocks..pretty sure

And lolzzz at you comparing Lofton to Raines and Rickey.

OBP
Rickey .401
Raines .385
Lofton .372
Kirby .360

Kirby was closer to Lofton than Lofton was to either Raines or Rickey, Lofton is kinda shitty compared to the best leadoff hitters I guess...
