buck, I don't know why you don't just stop eating cookies while at the computer. I think you may have a problem. Addicted to cookies.

Good one, PC! You remember when I told you guys a few years ago that Fox had told me to delete cookies so I disconnected the keyboard and shook it out real good. Didn't work that well.

I think on my new Chromebook all I gotta do is hose it off in the driveway once in a while. That will be a relief.

You guys talkin' Matts down on 34th & Cedar?? If that's the one I know it well. It's been there forever. When I was in town it was just a beer joint and it used to sponsor good softball teams, did it finally get liquor? I'd have to agree that they invented the Juicy Lucy. I remember reading about that fact in the Trib. years ago in a bio about memorable joints in Mpls. I don't remember 5 to 9. Where is that one?

Before I adiosed to Ft. Myers used to go to Famous Dave's in Calhoun Square in Uptown Mpls. Great nightclub and good food. I do miss that place sometimes.

If I remember right, 5 to 9 is just a couple miles down the road from Matts.

we have been to both places and a few others that make juicey luceys .. but a lot of twin cities restaurants have been on the cooking channel shows

Another one I have seen on there is Psycho Suzies Motor Lounge. I have been there a couple times and it is a really cool place. Food is good and I like the rum drinks they serve in the fancy tiki style glasses. They sure don't skip out on any rum on those either! :suds:

I remember that well. Classic. That's why I had to bring the joke back. Good stuff. :laugh3:

1941 willys coupe ... how have ya been buck ?..and how is your beautiful bride ?

Everything's fine, Misk! Lena is just as beautiful as ever but my new neighbor, Helga, ain't too shabby either. Life is good!

You '41 Willys is really cool! But I thought all they made in '41 was Fords and maybe a few Chebbies? I'm not a real car-genius as you can tell. I got a nice Pinto that I drive around town in. I'm not sure of the year because the plate on the door rusted out. No biggie! Lena gets the Corvette?? That's the one with the engine in the trunk. Chevy made 'em back in the 60's. She looks good in it!

Had lunch & happy-hour beers at the 5 -8 on Cedar & 58th just next to the Crosstown many, many times. The original owner was a guy named Larry (?) Sounds like he's doing good.

and that would be the corvair and not the corvette with the engine in the trunk...they were sweet fast little cars

That's it, I think, but it ours don't look that good. Plus, we got like 4 doors on it. Anyways, Lena's boo-boos got hard when she saw it so maybe we got one too??

Nope....mine don't have that big hole in the top of the "ting"-a-ma-bob that hides the motor. Everything looks pretty close except both doors are on yours. What's all that shiny stuff stickin' out of there, anyways?? If I didn't know better I'd say you had some sort of threshing machine on it for gettin' the corn out of the fields?? And, come to tink ov it, that's not a bad idea, Misk! You should send John Deere a picture of it. I could use a little help with the finders-fee??

Pelfrey went five innings today with one run, five hits, one walk and four K's.

Mauer keeping the bat going went 2-3.

PC - Once again, I missed a good game because of "responsibilities." Oh, well.

Pelfrey's start is as good as any we've probably had all Spring. That's really good news! Joe Mau' is using his bat like a rapier. Like I've said before, he might just win another batting title if he keeps it going....if he could just get some power going...that would be tremendous!! I don't think lack of hitting will be a big issue this year, at least not from what we've seen so far.

1-week away from the bell. I hope they play as good as they did this Spring. I should get to the last game and in that game Gardy will start his #1 lineup and let them play at least 5-innings as a unit. So will the other team generally. Makes for a good game anyways.

Deduno sent to the minors? This doesn't make sense to me. He pitched some good games towards the end of last season and looked great in the WBC. The only sense I can make of the move is in regard to his groin injury. I'm not sure if they just chose to send him down until he heals up rather than place him on the DL? :noidea:
Either way, I hope to see him called back up when he is 100% as the pitching is obviously very lacking and they need all the quality help they can get.

I think you got it figured right, PC. Dudeno will be back soon, whether he can stick is another question. He'll probably be up & down a few times as he matures, then ka-boom!!
