Twins Off Season Commentary

jrs - Sometimes all you have to do is clean out the cookies on your computer to get a Fox post up. On my Widows-based computers I installed a free utility called CC Cleaner and it works quickly. Fox is "different" in many ways but the cookies-thing is a real pain!

If you got the "boot" I'd like to know why. There hasn't been any big trouble over there for close to a year and no big fights lately. I could see them deleting a post, as they do that to me every once in a while when my humor gets a little raunchy. Since the Great War of 2011 they are very touchy these days.

I'm giving up on ty. He's dug himself into a hole over Gardy and Anderson and will not listen to reason. There were probably people who still didn't believe Columbus when he got back too. If you got the boot just come back. It's fun to try and figure out who's who over there.

I tried to post a reply over on that puke site fuxed up sports to Tyis BS about Anderson causing bone chips in Diamonds pitching arm. I didn't try to post a snyde remark. just a remark about a coach causing bone chips. Not only did they delete me, now I can't even open the Twins page. The message I get basically says I am not allowed back on the page. What a P.O.S. site. What else would be expected from Fox? I did like the team information I could find on the page. Whatever........I guess they did me a favor, now I don't have to read the drivel spewed out by all the haters.

Lookee here! PC, Misko, & jrs21. I thought the latter two were kidnapped, tied-up, taken away, and held for ransom. Maybe I can take their pictures off the milk cartons now.

PC - I don't expect the Twins to win the division but I do see them being a "royal-thorn" in a lot of team's butts this year. It looks like they can hit and score runs, maybe a lot of runs. That would be better than last year, anyways. I'm always a glass 1/2 full-guy but you gotta be realistic when your team is in a downward-cycle. Maybe that cycle is getting ready to end. I could live with that! GO TWINS!!

Yeah buck, I hear being realistic but I just try to do that while trying to not get too depressing about it..

Twins playing spoiler for the other teams is what I am expecting to see this year. No doubt the Tigers will be dominant again this year but that doesn't mean the Twins can't piss them off a little along the way. They will be the classic piranhas that Ozzie was always bitching about.

Not a bad excuse at all jrs. Family comes first, I understand that. My daughter is seven months now. She has definitely changed the dynamics around here but for the better.

Yeah, Fox is a garbage site with posters to go along with it. Can't believe tyis was conspiring that a coach somehow caused bone chips in a pitchers arm. That guy has proven too many times to me that he is out of touch and knows Jack S about the Twins and baseball for that matter. Thank you for reminding me why I don't go there anymore. lol

How goes Misk? Warming up for you in you neck of the woods and melting some of that white shit?

Slowly but surely here. In the teens last week and looking like 20's this week and hopefully creeping up into the 30's by this weekend. Everyone is beyond tired of winter. I got outside yesterday and grilled up some juicy lucy's for the fam. Maybe if we all just start acting like it's spring, the weather will follow suit?

Slowly but surely here. In the teens last week and looking like 20's this week and hopefully creeping up into the 30's by this weekend. Everyone is beyond tired of winter. I got outside yesterday and grilled up some juicy lucy's for the fam. Maybe if we all just start acting like it's spring, the weather will follow suit?

we are starting to thaw out ..but not fast enough im ready for spring weather

Yeah, I'm with you there. Unfortunately for us it will just bring another flood in. After the waters of the mighty Red recede, then we can finally get to enjoying the weather.

For sure. I have seen some pics the last couple weeks showing the grounds-crew snow blowing the field and using these big steam machines to melt ice in the stands. It looks like they are working their asses off to clean it up and get it ready for the boys of summer.

Sounds like Hicks will be our CF on opening day. Cool to see the young kid make the jump from AA to the bigs but I just hope he's ready for it. We are lucky to have him after letting Span and Revere go and I wasn't so sure how much I wanted to see Mastroni out there. Might be a good season for Hicks to at least see some action and get his feet wet though.

I'll give it a try when I get a chance. I've pretty much had it with that site though after they booted me back in the day for nothing, and let other stuff slide that was far worse.

Yep, no doubt this winter was brutal, we are definately getting our payback for a mild last winter.
I went fishing on winnibigosh last weekend and about had a heartattack trudging through 3 foot deep snow to get 50 yards off the plowed road. Thats it for me, I'm waiting for open water now.

Mmmm Juicy Lucy! I be making some of those soon....Thats a good sammich! Thanks for the idea PC.

Do you go to Matt's or 5 to 9? I took the wife to Matt's for one of theirs last summer and it was damn good. Never tried 5 to 9's. Making your own at home is pretty awesome though too.

I did see that. I thought it was pretty cool to see something from the cities on there. Matt's seems to be the originator of the juicy lucy and it sounds like 5 to 9 just made their own version. Naturally had to check out Matt's when we got into town last year for a Twins trip.

You guys talkin' Matts down on 34th & Cedar?? If that's the one I know it well. It's been there forever. When I was in town it was just a beer joint and it used to sponsor good softball teams, did it finally get liquor? I'd have to agree that they invented the Juicy Lucy. I remember reading about that fact in the Trib. years ago in a bio about memorable joints in Mpls. I don't remember 5 to 9. Where is that one?

Before I adiosed to Ft. Myers used to go to Famous Dave's in Calhoun Square in Uptown Mpls. Great nightclub and good food. I do miss that place sometimes.
