Well, PC, I just googled up his stats. and he's a 500 pitcher with the Pirates, arguably as bad as the Twins, but maybe not quite as bad, so maybe Correia will go 500 with us. I do like that he is in his early 30's and may hit his best years now. His era is in the low 4.00's, which isn't all that bad in modern baseball but his hits per inning are a bit disturbing to me.

If he pitches when the Twins hitters are on fire he might go 16-10. If he gets the days when they can't hit their butts with either hand he might go 11-13. Such is life in a Twins uniform!

Yeah buck, he gets hit but he is one of those "contact pitchers" that Twins fans are so familiar with. Plus side on him is he is not considered a fly ball pitcher like Baker where a HR is just around the corner at any time. Instead it sounds like he is a ground ball type pitcher and will let the defense work for him. I guess when he pitches it will keep the IF busy.

PC - Time to call upon you for "computer savvy", which I have always esteemed you for. I've heard a lot about the Google Chromebook which is specifially designed for web-use, or so I gather. Right now I have a little 10" netbook that is way slower than the new tablets my friends have. I'd prefer the Chromebook with the traditional clam-shell design that closes the screen & keyboard together. What have you heard??

I'm no expert but I have heard good things. I myself have a Dell Inspirion that works great for me. I hear that if you got the extra ca$h to throw around it is well wroth it to go for a Macbook but it's not for everyone.

PC - The MacBook is probably the best overall machine out there but it's way outta my league, that, and it's way more than I need for just surfing the net. 90% of the time when I'm blogging with you guys I'm at some "hot-spot" taking a break with my posse. Right now I'm at the local Mac & Don's torturing 5 other dudes who I hook up with every morning around 5:30 a.m. I don't use the powerful laptop at home for blogging too often. It's plenty fast but it's too bulky to cart around so I bought the little notebook a few years ago but it's seen it's better days. That Samsung Chromebook is real light and has no Windows software to slow it down, or so they say. Only $250...that's an eye-catcher.

I guess I'm talking myself into it, ain't I?

Latest addition to the Twins rotation is Mike Pelfrey. He is coming off TJ surgery but is said to be healthy and throwing well. Another affordable, serviceable starter for the mix. Terry is doing a good job of throwing a rotation together while not spending too much.

PC - Swear to God you are a computer genius! You always know all the nifty little computer tricks. The guy in your video is Charlie Sheen?? Who's the homely girl?? I don't watch a lot of movies, as you can probably tell.

LOL! That's Charlie Sheen and his brother Emilio Estevez.

I think it's from a scene in "Men at Work".

Word is that the Twins are still not done signing arms yet. Not sure what is left out there.

Will be interesting to see what else they come up with. Can't complain as it will not force them to see who they can take from the bullpen for a starter spot. With that and the unavoidable injury bug, you can never have to many pitchers around.

Whoa, there PC! Emilio Estevez?? Is that his half-brother? They got different names. Besides, the picture is clearly Charlie with a little, homely woman. Granted, I don't watch a lot of movies and didn't see the one you mentioned but I'm stuck with that Charlie Sheen sit-com every night during the off-season as an accommodation to my beautiful bride, Lena, so I do kinda know who he is.

I personally like "The Big bang Theory". I envision all of you guys that I post with as the characters and try to figure out who's who. Clearly, Hauv is Sheldon. I'm thinking that you gotta be Wolowitz, the computer-nerd. Only trouble is, I don't see you being as sexually depraved as poor Wolowitz is. Who could be Penny???

Once Baseball is over I watch virtually no TV, including the NFL, the continuous commercial breaks kill me. Lena likes that Charlie Sheen thing and the Big Bang Theory, AND, she has the audacity to watch that stuff on the big-screen in the living room, the very room where I surf the net all night on my laptop. Talk about audacity!

I can't even get Gopher or Fighting Sioux hockey down here. Makes me want to go back up North............NOT!!

Before I forget.... Merry Christmas, good friend!!

It doesn't sound like Morny is going anywhere which I am fine with for now. But if he has a nice first half maybe a team that is in the running and looking for a boost could take him for a second half rental and flip us something good in return.

No matter what happens I'll continue to root for Morny and hope for the best for him. And who knows, maybe the Twins will surprise us this year. One can never tell. Nobody last year saw the A's and O's making the playoffs. Anything can and will happen in the game of baseball.

I like your enthusiasm, PC! A true fan always hopes for the best and sometimes it occurs when least expected. Who saw the Nats, Rays, & Giants a few years ago as the teams they are today? I guess it's human nature to get cynical when your team is down, everyone one of us do it from time to time, but how many of us really mean it deep down inside? I know I don't.

As for Morny, I agree with you 100%. I wish him the best as I do not see him as a bad person. He's not a premier player in my book, he's way too streaky for me. When he was "on" in his prime he could be awesome, but right away he'd go into a slump and not be worth a darn. This is my only problem with him, and there are plenty of guys just like him everywhere.

You wouldn't have believed how bad Carlos Pena was for the Rays last year. I watched nearly every game and he was probably the worse streaky hitter I ever saw. Like Morny, he was getting $7-million but he was way worse than the Morny I used to watch. I believe Pena didn't hit.200, if you can believe that! Worse yet, he started virtually all the games at 1B! I see him as the main reason the very good Rays team missed the playoffs with 90-wins and that great pitching staff. Pena left tons of guys on base nite after nite. Thankfully he's gone.

As you say, if Morny has a good 1st-half, and the Twins sukk, look for the Twins to trade him. Very common move in modern baseball.
