PC - That's cool that your Phillies are in town this year, have lots' of fun! The Twins make their annual trek to Tampa this April for 3-games. The posse and I will probably hit all 3-games. No problem gettin' seats, never a sell-out up there. It's a shame too because the Rays have another dynamite team this year. Hope we don't lose them.

Here is something Twins fans can be excited about. I just saw something posted by Jim Callis of Baseball America saying, “ Miguel Sano (Miguel Sano Minor League Statistics & History - Baseball-Reference.com) of the Twins might be the best power prospect in the minor leagues were it not for Harper.”

That is a pretty big claim to put out there. You better keep an eye out for this guy when you’re out there buck. This kid sounds like the real deal.

PC - He's not listed anywhere down here as being in camp, that I can see, so he musta not got an invite this Spring. If he's good he'll probably spend some time on our minor league team here in Ft. Myers before he goes up to New Britain? I'll watch for him. Meanwhile I'll ask around a little too.

Yeah, I guess he is still pretty young (18) so it could be that he is not out there quite yet.
Sounds like he is a hell of a player though. Something to look for in the future.

Did you see that Nicky P. is with Boston now? If only he had been able to hit, our IF situation would have been so much better off!

I forgot to mention that the last time I saw Nishi (Sun.) he was in the batting cages under the stadium sitting on a stool with his back to everyone while someone else was hitting. Meanwhile, the bulk of the players were still on the fields working out. Sicilian message of some sort?? No, wait a minute, he's not Sicilian.

I did see the BoSox picked him up this winter. Now watch the BoSox go win it all and get Nicky P a second WS ring. Wouldn't that be a kick in the head?!

Yessir, PC! That would take the cake for sure. Nicky drove me crazy at the end with the Twins with that hollow-bat of his, but he's like the contruction foam they sell at Lowes, he can plug almost any hole for a while. He did that for the Cards last Fall. He was also one of those guys who accomodated everyone at ST, I wish him nothing but the best!!

There's supposed to be a 9-inning game today between the Red Sox & Twins at Twins Stadium. I think I'll check it out. Baker & Blackburn are supposed to pitch 1-inning each. Revere, Dinkleman (what kind of baseball name is that?), and Tsonni (again, it's the name) are also supposed to play. The rest are no-names so far in their careers but one never knows when the next Chuck Knoblach may appear (remember him?) There's a rumor that 1-beer stand will be open! That's good because it will be pushing 85-90 today. I don't know how I will make it......

Well, I survived the heat because we sat up in the shady part of the grandstand. It was a beautifulday, (who did that song, It's a beautiful day? Freakin' hated it!)

Strange game, though. For starters, the scoreboard wasn't turned on so we didn't know what inning it was or what the score was. Boston had names on its jerseys but not the Twins. There was no public announcer but some fan behind home plate was yelling out the names of the batters from his lineup card. Still, it was really fun to see some very talented players on a beautiful field playing the best game of 'em all. I guess the Twins won 6-5, we didn't know 'cause we were yukking it up the whole time and, believe it or not, we didn't have any beer! I know, I know,....what's with that? We all decided to wait until the Sat. Opener against the Rays to blast-off. You gotta use 'yur noggin to stay ahead these days!

Finished the night off at my favorite restaurant/watering-holes sittin' next to John Lackey of the Red Sox. Big, big, dude, he is, and very friendly and down to earth. From Abilene, Tx., and loves George Strait music, so he jumped right into my wheelhouse! I avoided the clubhouse controversy from last year and spent the time trying to talk him into playing for the Rays. He liked that idea because he's good friends with John Madden. He showed me his "nasty" Tommy John scar on his right-arm and tried to explain it to my beautiful bride, Lena, but she could not comprehend that they took a tendon from his left arm and grafted it into his right arm. Like I said before, I didn't marry her for her brains...it was for those big tits she's got on her!

PC - I'm back from the 1st ST game and really mellow considering the beer and the sun. Jamey Carroll is a gamer, no matter what. He takes his cuts aggressively but doesn't swing wildly. He's the guy in 2012. Nishi had good at bats, and he's not going down w/o a fight. I can't tell you how good these guys are now. We'll know by June 1st.

Twins sign Kevin Correia. He will do as a serviceable, affordable starter to fill a spot for the Twins.

Now maybe they nab one more of those and let there be a battle for the fifth spot at ST and see who may be up to the task?

I was reading the Correia has a good groundball rating which is good for a pitcher in TF.

So now we have: Diamond, Vanimal, Correia so far. Not a bad start to building a rotation.
