Series Thread: Twins at White Sox

Kicking off a 4 game set with who we perceived at the start of the season to be our arch enemies. And they are coming off a 3 game sweep against the Tigers.......that is, the Tigers were the ones breaking out the brooms. Still, each game carries its own singular importance and we can never take any team, especially a division rival, for granted. Records be damned. We open with a day/night double header. The matchups are:

1st game - Lynn vs Jax (Opener?)
2nd game - ??? vs Berrios
3rd game - Keuchel vs Ober
4th game - Cease vs Pineda

There has been no one named for the nightcap, so it appears that TLR is going with the openers approach in tomorrow's nightcap, just as the Twins appear to be doing likewise with the day game. As for the Good Guys, whoever the lucky fellows are out there in game 2, they will be going against the Twins best pitcher. Altho we whupped Berrios the last time we faced him, he's still historically a Sox killer.

Rey Lopez for the Sox in game 2. He's been going 6 or so innings at AAA lately and has shown progress - despite his ERA number at the moment.

So my question is: If Lopez turns into a MLB pitching sensation - al la - Rodon - will these Sox ever lose another game?

Well in fairness, he did pitch two scoreless innings upon his return to the mother roster. But all things being equal, I'd lean toward the ass blasting side.

So the game Lynn starts against openers we lose. But our openers vs Sox killer Berrios in the nightcap we win.
