5/$45 sounds like a decent pay day for his talent. I think that put him around # 20 for CB's next year. If someone wants to pay more than that, they aren't getting a bargain.

If Jenkins would sign for the 45 to 50 5 year gig, most likely Johnson will sign for 5 also. It would not cost the Rams 14 X 5 either, not many players will play a year out to see if their value goes up if they can sign for a bit less and get the 5 year contract.

Not sure why all the hate towards Jenks on here? You guys do remember Johnson lost his job to EJ not to long ago and Johnson has been injury prone right? NFL.com has Jenks as the #1 CB available in FA and 10th player in the entire FA class. He's good.

Johnson was injured. He didn't lose his job due to performance.

He didn't get the job back til EJ got hurt I believe. Because EJ played so good.

Exactly, he makes a lot of big plays, yet turns around and gets burned quite often! Is he good and do I wish we would get him back, yes. Is he elite, no! So for the money he wants that makes him expendable, we have quality backups, but according to Coug if you're a backup than you are not worthy of being a starter, for Christ sake you are a backup for a reason!
