Junior is pretty comfy at 24 Sussex Drive over this news...

He never moved into 24 Sussex on account that it's a dump that needs to be bulldozed but the money to dismantle & replace will be a lot and whatever gov't decides to bite the bullet and do it is going to have to deal with that in the next campaign (which is why it was left to rot in the first place). He's lived at Rideau Cottage for his entire premiership.

But one never quite knows what a third party in federal politics may do. Bernier's PPC was useless and, at worst, maybe cost Scheer a seat or two, but Reform and the BQ in the past completely changed politics and the Liberals/NDP allowing the BQ to re-gain popularity after it was dead and buried by Jack Layton and to a lesser extent Stephen Harper can even be considered a new third-party that just made a huge dent on the national political scene - it shares little in common with the earlier policies of the party even if it's still officially advocating for sovereignty. It's more an offshoot of the CAQ now than the PQ.

Any success Wexit has would probably come at the expense of a renewed Tory policy veering more toward centre but that shift will also likely cost the Liberals so it could very well shake things up. And, tbh, I can't see Trudeau carrying the Liberals into another election, especially if this term goes longer than 2 years. Really think the party bosses made him appoint Freeland Deputy PM for a reason.

Heard Senator Elizabeth Warren identifies as a black male, in addition to her other identities, and is counting on picking up Cory's 1.5% support among likely Democratic primary voters.
