Trevor - turned out he flopped with his chance to succeed with this team (IMO), but despite his limitations he is a good guy and an everyman of some sorts.

Broncos sign guard J.J. Dielman off Bengals practice squad

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Broncos signed offensive guard J.J. Dielman to the active roster on Saturday off the Bengals’ practice squad. Dielman will take the roster spot of Trevor Siemian, who was placed on injured reserve following the shoulder injury he suffered Thursday night. Dielman, a 6-foot-5, 309-pound rookie, gives the Broncos another option along the offensive line. He was drafted out of Utah by the Bengals in the fifth round.

I like that has played C, OG, and OT. They need to be bringing in as much talent on the O-Line as they can get, and versatility would be great.

I'm sure some people will find this sacrilegious but if he continues to play great I think we give Stephenson a real shot next year. The past 2 weeks he's looked really good so if he's finally getting it it can only help us.

He has played well but to me too many concerns not to look for a better replacement in the draft. Stephenson started out last year looking decent as well until an injury derailed his season and he never came close to the same player he was the first few weeks of the year. That seems to be what he does is play decent for a few games then get some nagging injury that turns him into one fo the worst tackles in the league. I would rather let some other team overpay for him and see if we can get a comp pick.

If you will remember, we put a claim in for Dielman after the Bengals cut him on final cutdown days. The Rams also claimed him and had a higher claim... They then cut him after a few weeks and he went back to the Bengals PS.

Seems like a player Elway has always wanted to take a look at.

He likes players from Utah.

Plus I'm sure it helps players like Bolles and Booker to practice around players they know so well.

He likes those guys that are used to playing at altitude. I've heard that is actually somethign they put on the pros and cons side of things when evaluating a player. It is something that is an adjustment for players so getting a guy who is used to it day 1 helps.

Seems strange to me. Yes, living at altitude your blood adjusts. But you don’t have to be out of altitude long to re-adjust to lower levels.

I agree a weird thing to consider.
It's said he doesn't like Alabama players because they're used up before they get to the NFL

And given that it seems like for every 1 good Alabama player you have about 10 busts it's not surprising. Hell even someone like Eddie Lacy(who everyone was sour on Elway for drafting Montee Ball over) looks like a bust now too. Had a great rookie year and then got worse every season after.
