I think Kromer talking to the media the way he did sealed Trestman’s fate. To me, that shows a complete disregard for the HC’s authority, and I think the players recognized that too.
Yes, but you wonder if Trestman was fired for that two games ago, there might have been some option to get Harbaugh, although there are talks now that the Michigan job salary jumped from 6 to 9 million per year.
I liked the notion of Harbaugh coming to Chicago, but I never honestly thought it would happen. The money that Michigan will pay him is certain awesome (a dollar amount the McCaskeys would never go near), but there is also the connection the Harbaugh family has with Michigan to take into consideration.
I just saw a story stating that Aaron Kromer was fired. Gotta wonder why Kromer was mentioned independent of everyone else on the staff…. and why hasn’t there been a similar announcement for any other coaches?
