I "suspect" he knows better, but is trying to interject excitement/entertainment to the contest. Unfortunately, for him and us, he's not capable of doing so.

If Buzz would just cut down on 30% (maybe more) of his diction, I could handle him. But his constant blah, blah, blah/overstatement, etc is just too much to handle.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But they got the call right at 2nd when most of us thought there was no reason to even review it.
