Well you can throw that out the window, he got hurt the 2nd play of tonight’s game and it looks bad. Elbow injury, no official word but if it’s as bad as it looked he could be out for some time.

Bonito looked great in the practice. By far the most explosive defensive player after the snap. Von Miller type of bend as well. I know he's kind of a one-trick pony, but what a trick. I had 3 and probably a 4th sack in yesterday's practice. This guy is going to be in the rotation this year for us on obvious passing downs.

I know cdumler7 hates him, but this is a passing league and on 2nd and long, 3rd down this year, he can be a force.

Anderson is a left-tackle and not a right-tackle. He played better as a left-tackle in the Carolina game (2 years ago) and terrible as a right-tackle in the Raiders game (last year-I thinks?). The only matchup in the entire practice that Dallas won was that battle with Anderson and Parsons. Parsons is a beast though.

Offensive line really did surprise me though especially after Wilson started throwing early in practice with 5 straight completions and Denver was trying to establish a run game after that. They really were getting a good push in the running game. That was the most surprising.

Jonas Griffith is going to be a stud this year (my opinion). For not having a ton of experience, he really does a good job in diagnosing plays and is very explosive. Having Jewell this year with him will help as Jewell I know helped him a ton last year and they really talk alot to each other out on the field. Good chemistry between those two.

Just my 2 cents from that practice.

I don't hate him. My issue is because he is a 1-trick pony I'm not a big fan of using that high of a pick on a guy that I struggle to see him developing into a full-time starter. You are right that speed/burst he has is something special and a team can find a way to use that for some big moments, but if I am using a 2nd round pick especially on a position that needs to find a starter moving forward with Chubb on the last year of his deal then Bonitto is not the guy I am looking at. I hope I am wrong and the guy can add some good muscle, learn better technique in the run game, and become that next great pass rusher in Denver. Watching him in this 1st preseason game though he has a long ways to go. He looked lost for the most part when it came to the run game and the Cowboys picked on him a lot.

Thankfully maybe the Broncos will get away with the pick with Browning showing so well. They can designate Bonitto more to that specialist.

I wasn't exactly excited about the Bonitto pick (as @SpringStein knows) but once we drafted him I tried to look at the positive and got on board with it. Didn't hate it but was on my list of players I hoped we didn't draft at 64 when the thread was created awhile back. That being said I have remained positive about it and have things I am excited about it for. Really rooting for this guy to succeed. It is sorta the opposite of Montrell Washington for me where not a lot of people liked the Washington pick (Still doubt those people saw him play much) but I really liked the pick because I saw what he did to my Florida Gators, not that Florida had a good defense last year because it was brutally bad but his ability to make plays against an SEC school like that blew me away. That really put him on the map. Anyway back to Bonitto.

I think one thing fans have to remember is that we used pick 64 on Bonnitto, not a first round pick, not even and early 2nd round mock, not even a mid second round pick. This was nearly a 3rd round pick. I get the one trick pony concern because that was exactly my concern with Bonitto coming out.

I know we are going to have to be patient with Bonitto he is not a player I see coming and raising the root right away. He is going to need some time. I don't know that he makes a big impact this year but I think fans need to be patient and need to be wok with that.

I guess my point is if we get just a pass rush specialist at #64 then I am perfectly fine with that. Again, consider the draft position. If we had a pick at #9 and it turned out well and Bonitto was known as a pass rush specialist pick I think fans would be perfectly fine with it. Afterall, you can't win in the NFL and play good defense without a good pass rush so it is pretty important. I don't think getting a productive pass rusher at 64 is ay issue of mine. Just need to stay patient with him in his first year.

Overall, I can 100% understand this pick and know it is going to take some patients on our end and also realize this was a guy we picked at #64, not #9... If he turns into purely a solid pass rusher I am perfectly fine with that. I'd like more then that of course but at 64 I have no issues if he offers us a solid role as a pass rusher. Something you can never have enough of.

unfortunate for Jonas

4-6 weeks but he may be on the bubble anyways. i don’t think Denver will run too many D packages with 2 ILbers on the field at the same time.
didn’t we pick him off the waiver wire late last year

feels like a player the team could look to upgrade from with cuts from other teams

We traded for Jonas last year on roster cutdown day. He is a lock to make the team. Has been outstanding in camp. Earned a starting position and played very well to end the season last year.

That injury looked like it could have been friendly fire. On the second play from scrimmage, 13 of the 11 players on D converged on the ball carrier. They all arrived at the same time! The defense was amped up.
I never saw a replay, but would like to if anyone come across it.

Bruh. Traded from Niners and he was told he's ST and that's it. Started the last 5 games and played well enough that they could try Browning outside.

You not feeling well? Negative vibes from a dominant week of practice and the game. We did watch the same game, right?

WE have 5 cuts due by tomorrow and 5 more next Tuesday. Should be pretty easy. The following week gets much tougher.

No. Thinking outside the box as to how to best lever the wealth in the WR room.

Russ may have some input on this.

Is Jerry the new Noah?

He is the easiest player to see how the Broncos can get really good value and still feel pretty good about the position. I'm not really wanting to pay a WR $30 million a year when Jeudy comes up for a contract so if they can get a 1st round pick in return and maybe more then could really set this team up after paying Wilson.

It helps especially right now to see some of the other young WR's step up so well in Williams, Hinton, Johnson, and Virgil.

Pretty hard for me to imagine at this stage that anyone would give up a first rounder for him with what he has shown so far. And with Patrick out, even though the reserves have impressed (I especially like what Johnson and Virgil have shown) - going into the season with Sutton as really the only veteran WR, I wouldn’t trade Jeudy. Just my thoughts.

Sorry I should have made this more clear. I meant more next offseason making this kind of move. Say Jeudy goes out and gets over 1,000 yards and puts up 8-10 TD's. Teams showed this last draft they are willing to go crazy for WR's. So I could see a team seeing Jeudy do that and think his best days are ahead and better to get a proven option compared to take a chance in the draft. Broncos might be viewing it as we need draft capital and are paying Wilson $50 million a year and can't afford to give Jeudy top of the market pay for the position.

I didn’t realize Trey Quinn played with Sutton at SMU.

They were quite the duo during that 2017 season if I remember right. I think both went for over 1,000 yards that year.
