Thoughts? He looks unblockable when he is motivated. He is aa complete freak athletically. Probably cost too much but damn he should be a force

I don't want ANY player who needs to be "motivated". I don't buy into he needs to be motivated & with this team's history of lack of drafting in the mid rounds & hitting on UDFA, which in essense what all our 7 round picks are. I wouldn't mind packinging our 1, 3, 4, 5, but I know that wouldnt be enough to move up to #1. We would then have Clowney, 2, and the (6) 7's.

It isn't worth it. We need too many guys on defense to spend all our picks on just 1. We need LB help which is fairly deep in this draft and more than 1 DL player

This actually wouldn't be a bad move for you guys IF you can move up to get him.

The Texans aren't about to play their hand so if you want to be sure to get him, you're going to have to give up a couple picks - maybe more depending upon whether or not they're getting offers from other teams for their #1 spot.

You lost a lot on defense and this would be a step in the right direction.

I don't see him being there at #15 so if you want him, you're going to have to move up and you'll have to give up a lot.

Depending upon how much you gave up, I don't know I could fault you for the move considering how great he's supposed to be (he doesn't have the question marks around him a lot of other picks do), and that he's supposed to be able to start in week 1.

Lets add to the fact that we just don't know how good he will be.

DUMB idea. It will cost this full draft and additional future PICKS.

From where we are at 16, it would take our 1st and 2nd this year, and next year's number 1 and the next years number 1, just to start the convo. Let Atlanta give up the farm. If we make a trade, I hope it's for more picks, not less

No reason for that. You can get quality lineman and linebackers where we are picking from. To go all in on a player when we need depth and multiple positions filled seems foolish to me. Sure he could be great but what if he ends up injury prone? We just put all our eggs in one basket and blew an entire draft.

I think he is going to be dominant. But you all are probably right about costing too much. So potential trade partners in a trade down might be? I am all for a tradedown as long as we still get a 1st round pick this year. Can't let the niners fleece us again. I got cleveland as a potential partner if they don't take a qb in the top 5

That also wouldn't be a bad idea given how much you guys lost on FA, you could get a couple more picks.

If we could drop down in the first and pick up a second, it would be a MAJOR coup for this team. Unless Donald somehow falls to 16, there's not a player that will be there at 16 that we couldn't get a comparable talent to at 25-26

I'm completely ok with this. This team needs depth in a real bad way and I feel this is a very talented draft. You can get high quality picks in the late first/second.

Three players I would take there ( someone making a huge drop not included)

Donald, Clinton-Dix, and Pryor

Outside of those 3 ..... Trade down would be the best move the Cowboys could make...... IMO

There was a report yesterday that Jerry had talks with several teams about trade down scenario's. Unless Donald or Zach Martin, or maybe Barr who they seem to like falls to them, I think they are trading down, and it makes sense. I really like Pryor and Dix, but if we traded down 5-6 spots, and got, say, Jimmie Ward and still added a late 2nd, that's value to me. That said, if they stay put and take Dix, Pryor, or even Shazier or Hageman, I'm happy as can be
