I just read on NFL.com we are considering a big time time for a franchise RB. Curious I have heard about AP, DMac, and MJD being considerable trade bait for their teams. I would think that trading for DMac would be the same as Murray due to the lack of faith in Murray staying healthy, same can be said of DMac. I would wonder if we would trade for MJD considering his age, injury he just came off of, and steady decline. As for AP two first would be a start, probably Miles Austin, Mo Clay, and Murray would be included into such a deal; but question is would you do such a deal? It's no secret Minnesota wants a young star at corner, as well as some help at WR, so if by chance this is the deal would you do it? 2 first, Miles, Mo Clay, and Murray for AP? Just curious as I have read several pieces of work suggesting AP on the move and now this about us looking for this big trade.

Speculative running back options could include:

Lions RB Mikel LeShoure
Raiders RB Darren McFadden
Saints RB Mark Ingram
Texans RB Ben Tate
Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew.

these are the names mentioned in the story

Interesting... But could we afford a possible downgrade at RB for the rest of this season ?

Mike Fisher 105.3 FM Cowboys beat reporter addressed this and Said it is complete BULLS--t

Under the cap it cant be done Boys only have 2.5 mill to work with at least with my knowledge of the cap. I defer to Nets or Twist on that.

Fisher asked 3 Cowboys execs he would not name and the best reaction he got was rolled eyes and the above mention of Bull excrement.

Cowboys rumors draw hits guys true of false

I think DMac would be the guy, but I'm not sure what his contract situation is in regards to how much he's due or how much Oakland would want in return for him. I don't think I'd give up more than a 4th for him, especially to simply add him to a .500ish team for half the season.

there is also the report that the Cowboys will be 31M over the cap next year. i expect the Cowboys will be unloading contracts this coming off-season in a desperate attempt to get below the cap

Not true, I did the numbers with the mentioned players and it is a wash in trade off in money for 2014. Then not to mention you don't have to resign mo and Murray. It could work, but doesn't mean it should or will.

Its probably Chris Johnson knowing JJ. I love AP and he may shred us in 2 weeks but he has a lot of yards and a lot of hits already. The Tate idea is kind of intriguing. I think the guy in SD has always been underated and under used because of fumbling issues.

He is a FA I believe after this season, wouldn't take him more injury prone than Murray.

Oh I wouldn't sign him as a FA either. I thought we were talking about a move right now.

Cap wise I think we go with what we have unless we need to pick due a player due to injury.

Possibility just not a probability. Not saying I want it to happen or even think it will, just putting out there a few things I've read, but that's the problem with rumors mostly bs, that's why I can't wait until 10/29/2013

Don't think we need to. I like what I've seen from Randle in this game. He hasn't had many holes but he gets positive yardage.

Murray is better than all of those guys and coins less than a million against the cap this year and next. There is no chance we would do this. Plus, Dunbar is a good complimentary back and we just used a pick on Randle. This sounds like a bull shit story to me.
