But the next night he was 4-5. He needs to shoot that shot because number 1 he can make them and number 2 it gets guys to come out on him to set up the drive the rack.
Shoot them when you have the stroke going is all I am saying, not that he shouldn't shoot them at all.

I’m not gonna question anything the man does right now. In the first quarter last night in his 10 minutes the Sixers had 30 points and he scored or assisted on 24 of those points. Dude has been amazing. Most dominant player I’ve seen in Philly since A.I.’s MVP year in 2001.
Knew the game was over when he went out in second half and Cavs did not take advantage.

@tlance

So you guys traded down from 22 to 31, for a guy you ended up selling for cash…

Rough luck there

Horford has played Embiid well in the past.

Of course... Embiid is better now and Horford is older... but Big Al still plays with a lot of pride on defense.

Al has historically been the embiid stopper…for how much you can ever stop a guy as good as embiid

Saying it is rough luck implies some level of skill in scouting/player evaluation.

I have not seen a lot of evidence of that.

It’s a weird list of guys lol

I could see why. Marc Gasol was an excellent defender, but never was dependent on athleticism (because he didn't have any). But he was very smart, knew how to move his feet and play angles. So that would enable him to deal with Embiid being the better athlete.

He was also big enough and strong enough that Embiid couldn't bully him in the paint.

He was also skilled enough offensively to make Embiid work on both ends of the floor.

Sounds like Al as well

Holiday was decent last year

But man wiz whiffed on both pgs

Love the zinger deal though you roll with him and gafford

I’m still mad at Danny for taking Wagner and kornet over gafford

Gafford needs to stay healthy. Zinger too.

But yeah, better big combo than a lot of teams for sure.

Really curious what they do with Devi rui and kispert

Trying to turn them into another guy would seem to be the move. Thought it might’ve been sabonis.

Needs to be someone near the scale

Check out the year on that article. 2019. The Jo Embiid of 2020-21 and 2021-22 is an Embiid no one has seen before. It just clicked for him. He’s now that guy where you feel like you gave yourself a chance if you hold him under 30.

It was just the Sixers night and the Cavs did not have a good gameplan. They gotta make Embiid work on the defensive end more. Hard to beat any team getting off to horrible starts, they have been lucky to do it against below average teams. Can’t keep up that trend

Man, I’ll take that. Cavs aren’t gonna make a living on JA posting on Embiid. That takes the ball out of the hands of the real offensive players the Cavs have.

Sounds like he will be back shortly after the break
I hope so, I have a $ fantasy team counting on it. Unreal that I had pick 7 and he somehow fell to me.

Looking over all the deals, I kinda think the Bucks are the big winners of the day. Getting Ibaka boosts them back up to favorites out of the East imo. He can replace that little bit of edge of toughness they had last year with PJ Tucker and didn't really give up much of anything to get him (Allen replicates DiVicenzo nicely). Bucks have had people coming and going with injuries all season, but when everyone gets back healthy, gonna be hard to stop Giannis come playoff time.

Hate Grayson Allen, would MUCH rather have DiVincenzo. How much does Ibaka really have left? How much of his perceived value is remembering what he used to be?
