Ramona Shelburne: Pretty epic showdown between the Clippers and Lakers for Marcus Morris. For the Knicks, “there’s no deal without Kuzma” and the Lakers —at this late hour— remain reluctant to part with him.

Kuzma off the table for Marcus Morris

Shams Charania: Knicks are in significant talks to move Marcus Morris to the Clippers for Moe Harkless and other assets, league sources tell @The Athletic @Stadium. Lakers have informed Knicks that Kyle Kuzma has been removed from discussions, sources said.

Looks like Morris is going to the Clippers then.

Not heart broken.....I love Kuz.

Did you know Wolves traded a forward for a PG and got better at rebounding?

The Lakers will be active in the buyout market and I hope they get Collison.

Warriors essentially could have let KD walk with no return. Instead they ended up with Wiggins, a top 3 protected first and a second round pick. It's all grand scheme thinking here.
But couldn't they have done the same with a different player than Wiggins? I'm underwhelmed but maybe moving from a dumpster fire franchise to a good one will help

I do not understand the Kuzma stuff at all. I watched him all of the time in college and it was never anything like what he was almost right away in the pros.

Was Krystkowiak just holding him back or something? It is double strange because Delon Wright and Poetl both became their exact college selves.

Probably, but the pick they would have received might not have been as good either. If the FO believes they can turn around Wiggins, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt at this point. But I'm with you in that I'm not sold on him either. He has a ways to go before being a consistent contributor on a championship level team.

Defense aside, if Warriors can get him to improve his handles and see a passing lane he would be way more efficient on that end.

How does a 6'7" uber athletic player only average 3 rebounds for his career?

Well what I'm hoping is that the Warriors system helps him improve in the passing aspect right away. It's a motion based offense with parts continually moving. If he can find a rhythm in that, it would go a long ways towards him being a ball stopper.

Defensively he has a lot of room to grow. But Draymond and Ron Adams are going to have to be in his ear constantly. Defense is like 90% effort. Curry doesn't possess the chops to play defense, but he tries. Wiggins has all the physical tools to be a great defender. But damn if he isn't a turnstile right now.

Trade him for Drummond
