I remember that post; he wasn't being facetious. I remember at the time thinking "meh, no big deal either way, a couple of scrub fringe players traded away, a couple of scrub bullpen arms acquired." I thought it was rearranging deck chairs....

I don't really remember what I thought at the time, I guess that means I didn't care either way. Always a little humbling to go back and see what you thought in real time.

BTW, Tito going crazy at Baggs blog. Since he's been say Nate sucks all year, with the recent hot streak Tito's cognitive dissonance is kicking in. My favorite Titoism in that cesspool of posts is where he says you have to ignore everything Nate does against any other team except the Padres.

No doubt. He can't help himself, of course, but he's cultivating the animosity being thrown his way, just as he did at ESPN, and I suppose SFGiants.com before that. And then his FUBAR'ed brain explains the chorus of opinion aligned against him as little more than baaing sheep being led by the Giants and their Bay Area media confederates.

Amazingly, on Baggs blog earlier this year, he actually tried to take some credit for influencing Sabean's/Bochy's decisions during the World Series run. Full-On crazy.
