I pulled a Jones and didn't see the play until Hill caught the ball around the 40. Was watching at a casino while wife playing slots and planned on going home at the half, as I got back and saw him running like a rabbit being chased by coyotes, I kept saying "You got to be kidding me".
I have to admit there was some yelling and cursing in my living room. Probably best I wasn't in a casino at that moment:pound:. I think Jones was one of the few that didn't play it passively and was pissed because he thought Kelce held him. Looked like a couple of our guys were just standing there waiting unsure of what to do. They all should have been pissed off

I meant Jerry Jones who was off getting a Hot Dog during the play.

I was taking a piss when the Hill Mary happened. All I could hear was Romo yelling that he had never seen that in game before.

Deion totally roasted Romo last night for his comment about Deion's tackling. Prime really seemed a little butt hurt about the situation.

I think the Chiefs are pretty good but honestly I felt more trepidation about the Washington game than I did yesterday. September they really looked like the team to beat. The last few weeks they haven't been near as good. I thought Smith looked rattled all day. Our DBs played really well I thought. Brown got beat deep once but Smith missed him. Obviously our Dline is making a huge impact. Another thing - I thought we won half time adjustments for a change. I know KC marched down the field but after that first drive, nothing. Not sure the severity of the injuries or Zekes situation, but when we are at full strength it looks really good. Dak was a little off early but dialed it in. I have always thought his best comparison was Alex Smith. He totally outplayed him yesterday I thought. Lots of football left but we seem to be getting better
Mine was the upcoming Atlanta game. I know they aren't playing great, but in Atl on that fast field; that is the one I thought was going to be the toughest. I thought Brown played well. Every DB is beat on some plays and we only remember them if the QB throws him the ball. You just can't stay within a step of a world class athlete 50 times a game when he knows where he is going and you don't.

Was he? I didn't see that? Too funny. That Jerry always finds a way to do something...

Yes. That was the other thing. He absolutely killed Peters and then Sanders. That was funny. But again, like the comment about our DBs it was true.

Yes Atl will be tough. Maybe Zeke can sneak out one more game ha. Julio had a huge drop yesterday for a TD. He will be tough to deal with. Romo did knock our secondary. It kind of surprised me, because I know we have had some tough games back there, but it isn't like it is all one or two guys. They may have a bad play but I don't see any of them getting worked over, play after play

Almost forgot. Nice to see Taco get a sack too. Maybe that gets him going a little. With as well as our top 4 guys are playing it's going to be tough for some of these guys to get as many snaps as Marinelli normally gives them. I just don't think he wants to sit those 4 in big spots.

Also T Will had a huge game. He was great.

So T Will, Heath and Taco all did something good. Probably the 3 getting the most shit for their play or lack of play this year. Good to see:suds:

Heath got killed on twitter when he allowed Hill to get the edge on the jet sweep play. I thought to myself that Ed Reed wouldn't have made that play in his prime. I get it that these guys make mistakes and could be replaced, but we can't have a great player at every spot. I'm already trying to figure out how we keep both Irving and Lawrence.

For next year, Tag Lawrence. Irving restricted. Long term though could be tough. You just have to let other guys walk.

Martin is #1 on the list. The other problem with our cap is going to be Tyron. We are doing with him what we did with Romo. We are pushing the cap hit back for a guy with health issues. I love Tyron as much as the next guy, but I don't think you can restructure him any more with that back. At least Romo's $10M dead money comes off so that will help.

Dak you got for 2 more years and Zeke 3 more since first rounder.

Agreed about Lawrence. That guy has really been a difference maker all season, with almost no let up. It's a pleasant surprise for sure. No way Dallas can give him a long term deal, but he's earned the tag. Absolutely disruptive yesterday.

Irving can prove to be a major asset, one way or another. If he keeps this level of play up for the remainder of the season, I can't imagine Dallas not slapping a first round tender on Irving. If teams want to blow Irving away with a lot of money, then fine, Dallas can get a 1st rounder -- and hope Taco pans out. But if he does keep this level of play up, this is the guy the Cowboys have been looking for, and I imagine they will go to great lengths to keep him.

Lawrence - Irving - Collins - Crawford.... Looks pretty good right now

Cowboys have some interesting cap decisions coming up, for sure.
- Martin will get done, and it will be the largest contract ever for a G, that much is certain.
- Lawrence is a probable franchise tag candidate.
- Irving's 2018 contract situation is an unknown at this point, it could be very expensive.
- There are decisions to be made regarding T.Crawford, D.Bryant, and O.Scandrick after 2017 season.
- Crawford and Scandrick probably stick around because it doesn't make a ton of sense financially to cut them.
- Dez is way over paid for his contributions the last few years. $16.5m cap hit, $8m dead money in 2018. Is it time to move on? Restructure, if he will allow it?
- What to do with Byron Jones? Do you let him play out his rookie deal, w/ 5th year option? Do the Cowboys extend him after year 3 as they have been doing recently - how much is reasonable?
- Is James Hanna worth keeping with Rico Gathers around. Hanna is expensive for a back up.

Lots of tough questions. Dallas as it stands right now according to Spotrac has close to $9m in 2018 cap space -- with no increase in the league wide cap accounted for. Dallas also has almost $10m in cap space for 2017, which they could roll over into 2018. Now let's assume an approximate $10m increase in league wide salary cap, which is roughly consistent with the past 3 seasons. Dallas may have upwards of $28m to spend in 2018 after having accounted for all current obligations, and before any contract restructures or cuts.

I will just say I love Lee as much as anyone, well maybe not a few but I do understand his worth to the defense. I also understand that Demarcus is having an All Pro season so far. Many people are comparing our defense with and without Lee , and rightfully so. The thing is maybe Irving is the one that completes it.

That is for each person to decide what they think. No one can really say for sure since it's opinion based. We had 3 losses this year and all 3 were very poor defensive games and Lee missed 2 of the 3. The Denver game was just an anomaly. We were steamrolled on both sides of the ball from the first snap and LT and Joe Montana wouldn't have changed things for us that day. And with Lee this isn't a one year thing. We have seen this team with and without him for years and seen the difference. so for me it's Sean Lee that makes the D go and no one is really close...but Lawrence and Irving have been incredible this year for us and will be keys to our success

No doubt. Hearing Romo gush about him yesterday was a testament to how good he really is. I bet they have had a few interesting conversations in the past yrs.

The clock management in yrs past - I think we can blame on Garrett for sure now. Romo seems so smart about it. He was so right about the Chiefs getting the play off before the two minute warning. He is very smart about the 2 minute offense. One thing I did think was funny was the 3rd and 19. Romo said Garrett would just hand the ball off and run out the clock and then he said or maybe they take a shot. It was almost like he didn't want to give something away there. Then to his surprise, they passed.

Yeah, but Funny to also hear him say many times this year in the red zone or on the outer cusp of FG range 'can't take a sack here'. Do as I say, not...
