But I’m not claiming Nebraska is the #3 University in the galaxy.
These are the 10 best universities in the world

Ivy League schools dominate almost every college ranking — and for good reason. These prestigious institutions boast some of the most well-respected professors in the world, provide unparalleled financial aid resources and earn millions of dollars in research grants each year.

But when U.S. News & World Report evaluated 1,250 universities across 75 countries for their Best Global Universities of 2019 ranking, they found that select public universities are also offering students exceptional opportunities.

This year, the University of Washington bumped Johns Hopkins out of the top 10. Yale, Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania also fall lower on the ranking.

“When we first started publishing Best Global Universities, the rankings evaluated 500 schools in 11 countries. Since then, we’ve added 750 schools and have expanded to 75 nations,” says Robert Morse, chief data strategist at U.S. News. “One thing has remained the same — schools that prioritize quality academic research remain at the top of the rankings.”

To be considered for this list, schools needed to have produced a minimum, of 1,500 academic research papers between 2012 and 2016. Those that qualify are then evaluated based on 13 factors, including global and regional research reputation.

Here are the 10 best global universities, according to U.S. News:

10. University of Washington

I got an A in Statistics. B+ in microeconomics. B+ in Chemistry. etc.

And I was enrolled full time... I also worked full time (40 hrs)... I also have two children... my kids mother also had cancer during that time and I had to stay nights in the hospital and take her to her treatment appointments, etc. And that is all true.

Did I have a social life as well? Yes... not a great one. I maybe went out with friend like twice a month or so.

I prioritized my situation. Family. Work. School. Social.

It can be done if they actually put in the effort. No excuses

You were clearly older. You can't compare.

They aren't one homogeneous mass. Plenty of football players graduate with STEM degrees every year. Sure as a whole they typically don't perform at the level of other students for a multitude of reasons, or even at the level of other student athletes, but saying that there isn't one that can get an A in Statistics or Biology...lol, climb on down off your horse your highness, there are literally thousands that did that this year. They are few and far between at D1 Schools, but that is only half of the college football players in the country.

Is it harder than doing it as a regular student, sure it is, but many schools do what they can with priority registration for classes and labs and flexible scheduling to try and accommodate the student athletes that are trying to challenge themselves athletically and academically.

Yes, it's called grade inflation. You know there are lots of instructors that offer extra credit.

Just because you are a dumb mfer doesn't mean athletes can't ace statistics or biology.

I have a 4.0 right now. I have been told I was the best online student by two instructors.

Tell that to the guy who graduated from PSU with two Masters degrees, was excused from practices because he was teaching classes, drafted in the 5th round and is now at MIT...

What was his GPA? Did he have high social status?

Oh, and I'm not talking about Bio 200 or above. Believe me, weed out Bio 101 is a different animal.

All this top 10 academics and you'd still get your ass beat by Clemson or Bama if you could qualify for the CFP.

Just making this about college football in the you know college football forum.
