Even if that is true (and really I'd say that we have reason to suspect that Burke also wouldn't look kindly on a goon refusing an order to fight no matter how much he liked the guy previously anyway) it really doesn't matter much because I simply don't believe that it would get to that point. It's not about whether or not they would actually be excused by coaches/management, it's about whether or not they would even take that risk in the first place. I'll admit that I'm not intimately familiar with either guy, but I don't think that they would.
