Rules:

1. Don't pick someone who you have had a H&H with in the last 5 seasons.
2. Don't pick an upcoming opponent (Future College Football Schedules | FBSchedules.com)

For Oregon (in no order)

Army
Alabama
Penn State
Texas
Florida
I know this is not exactly what you are looking for but there are some H&H OOC games that occur yearly.
Notre Dame - Boston College
Notre Dame - Michigan
Notre Dame - Southern Cal
Notre Dame - Stanford
Iowa - Iowa State
Clemson - South Carolina
Florida - Florida State
Georgia - Georgia Tech

At least one that needs to be restarted Oklahoma - Nebraska

I would like to see every P5 have ONE OOC rival game. There are 64 P5 conference teams plus 4 Notre Dame games. Thus there can be 34 yearly OOC games. In addition to the 9 games above I have come up with "pairings" for the other teams. The "#" is the W/L ranking position over the past 20 seasons

Existing H&H
#22 Notre Dame - #33 Boston College
#22 Notre Dame - #19 Michigan
#22 Notre Dame - #7 Southern Cal
#22 Notre Dame - #32 Stanford
#17 Iowa - #58 Iowa State
#6 Clemson - #35 South Carolina
#13 Florida - #21 Florida State
#4 Georgia - #38 Georgia Tech

Proposed H&H
#1 Ohio State - #3 Alabama
#2 Oklahoma - #30 Nebraska
#5 Louisiana State - #8 Wisconsin
#9 Oregon - #10 Texas Christian
#11 Utah - #25 Michigan State
#12 Texas - #14 Oklahoma State
#15 Virginia Tech - #20 West Virginia
#16 Auburn - #18 Penn State
#23 Miami-Florida - #26 Texas A&M
#24 Louisville - #49 Kentucky
#27 Missouri - #28 Kansas State
#29 Pittsburgh - #43 Arkansas
#31 Texas Tech - #34 Arizona State
#36 North Carolina State - #37 Tennessee
#39 Northwestern - #40 California
#41 Minnesota - #42 UCLA
#44 Baylor - #46 Washington
#45 Mississippi - #47 Wake Forest
#48 Mississippi State - #52 Virginia
#50 Oregon State - #54 Rutgers
#51 Maryland - #60 Syracuse
#53 Washington State - #56 Purdue
#55 North Carolina - #65 Kansas
#57 Arizona - #64 Illinois
#59 Colorado - #61 Indiana
#62 Duke - #63 Vanderbilt

Most of these involve teams that are reasonably close in stature and would do wonders to help computer rankings AND CFP rankings for any playoff. My vision is for everyone to play 12 games: 8 conference games + above rivalry game + 1 P5 of your choosing + 1 G5 (hopefully of reasonable stature) + 1 free game (9th conference game or 2nd G5 or FCS).

I want to fuck with...

Penn St (should be a major regional rival)
Oregon (two best programs to have not won a title imo)
Michigan (need revenge for Danny Coale)
LSU (I didn't get to go down there last time we played and regret it)
USC (need revenge for the bullshit offensive PI that ultimately won them a national title)

UNLV - any excuse to go to Vegas is a good excuse.
Washington - great time to revive an old rivalry.
Auburn - great program, they probably would love a chance for revenge, UMn'd love a chance to go up 2-0 vs such a great program.
Pittsburgh - same as UW, why not revive an old rivalry.
Texas Tech - UMn fans still feel the pain of our embarrassing loss to them in a bowl game.

To me, home and home mean something when you actually attend games. I haven't been to a stadium in probably 20 years. Thus, I don't care where they are played as long as I get to watch them on TV.

UF really "doesn't want or need" to schedule any more H&H games. As most know UF plays FSU in H&H every year. This offset by the UGa game in JAX every year. That accounts for 9 games: 4 Home, 4 Away, and 1 in Jax. UF usually plays 2 G5 and 1 FCS (before FSU) all at Home. But, we have started replacing one of the early G5 games with a P5 (Michigan 2017 and Miami in 2019). I am beginning to have my doubts about our "scheduler" in the AD office.

First, whoever it is doesn't seem to understand that you don't schedule LSU, FSU, and CCG back to back to back!
"Correct" schedule is 2 G5 teams plus Kentucky in first 3 weeks, the the remaining 7 SEC foes with UGa at Halloween weekend and bye week ahead of that. Finish the season with remaining 2 OOC games, 1 FCS and ending with FSU. If there is a 2nd bye week then put it after FSU and before CCG.

Second, I don't mean to brag but since 1990 UF has played more Top 25 AP Ranked teams than anyone in FBS (136 in final poll). UF is averaging 4.25 Top 25 opponents each year before bowls. The "scheduler" keeps adding more P5 opponents (Utah in 22 1nd 23, Miami in 24 and 25, etc.

In 2031 UF's schedule is:
OOC
Sept 6 AT Texas
Sept 13 Arizona State
Nov 15 AT Notre Dame
Nov 29 FSU

Conference
LSU (other division)
Auburn (other division)
Georgia
Kentucky
Tennessee
South Carolina
Missouri
and Vandy

and IF UF manages to do well enough in those games then they get to play Alabama in CCG (I want to see someone beat that SOS!). UF will probably be 6-6 so CCG is out of the question.

Notre Dame has played USC every single season H&H since 1925. (except COVID season 2020)

Notre Dame has played Navy every single season H&H since 1926. (except COVID season 2020)

Notre Dame has not played Michigan, Boston College, and Stanford annually.

They’ve played often, but not every season.

Texas and Oklahoma State already play H&H annually since they became conference mates in 1996. And will continue in all likelihood until Texas officially joins the SEC.

You can remove that one from your “proposed” list since it already exists.

No, I didn't put Texas vs Texas A&M on the list because they WILL be in the same conference. I put Texas vs Oklahoma State because they WILL NOT be in the same conference. Oklahoma and Nebraska HAVEN'T played every year but did so for many years. I am proposing that the two schools rekindle that rivalry. The same with ND and the other three schools.

I see you are a fan of Eastern Michigan but, most of your "dream" games seem to be in warmer climes so I'm assuming that you are familiar with winters in Ypsilanti. I was born in Ypsilanti (while dad attended UM) but then left Michigan. Years later we returned to Lavonia for about nine months while my dad finished his tour in Nam. That was some cold weather! Now I live in Florida.

I'm a Tennessee fan. I changed all those to Eastern Michigan just fucking around and never changed them back. Probably during Pruitt's 3-7 season. Definitely not a fan of weather below 40 degrees. I've played ball in cold weather up in northern Virginia and it wasn't that bad because of adrenaline and running around, but find it miserable to sit on metal bleachers with a concrete floor for 3 hours when it's cold. After living in Charleston, SC and Pensacola, FL for the past 15-20 years I've lost any ability I had to deal with cold weather.

I grew up an Army brat. I was in 8 different school by the time I graduated HS. We lived all over (except the deep south) including Michigan, Nebraska, two Forts in Texas, Italy, Colorado, back to Michigan, New Jersey, Germany, and finally Florida. I have lived in Gainesville since I started Grad School in 1976!. The coldest temperature I was ever in was -8°F in of all places El Paso, Texas!

Auburn (one of my favorite non-UM schools
LSU (never played, and who wouldn't want to play at Tiger Stadium?)
USC
Alabama
