An interesting one. Martinez is considered as a 3B because that is the position he played the most, but his fielding and his body were so bad that he ended up playing almost 3 times as many games at DH than third. While on the other hand Toby is one of those that has a semi- high career WAR only because of longevity. He lead the league twice his entire career, once in walks and the other time in Games Played. I see this one going to Edgar, but neither one of them doing that well against Beltre in the next round.

Edgar wasn't a bad fielding 3B. He was fine until he tore his hamstring in '93. Some of Edgar's best years, in terms of WAR, actually came as a 3rd baseman.

Another thing that gets overlooked with Edgar is that he wasn't really a full-time player until he was 27. Just makes what he did in the majors even more impressive.

You must be young to be thinking that, if anything else Harrah is a shortstop. He only played 2B for a couple of seasons at the very end of his career. Hell, think of it this way... Jim Thome played twice as many games at 3B as Harrah did at 2B.
