Strictly looking at the music they recorded apart from The Beatles. I didn't include Traveling Wilburys' stuff- just wanted songs that were primarily written and sung by a Beatle

1. Stuck Inside A Cloud- George Harrison
2. Band On The Run- Paul McCartney
3. What Is Life- George Harrison
4. God- John Lennon
5. Instant Karma! (We All Shine On)- John Lennon
6. Stand By Me- John Lennon
7. Jet- Paul McCartney
8. Watching The Wheels- John Lennon
9. My Sweet Lord- George Harrison
10. Picasso's Last Words (Drink to Me)- Paul McCartney
11. Isn't It A Pity- George Harrison
12. Mamunia- Paul McCartney
13. Photograph- Ringo Starr
14. Mind Games- John Lennon
15. All Those Years Ago- George Harrison
16. Maybe I'm Amazed- Paul McCartney
17. Crackerbox Palace- George Harrison
18. New- Paul McCarney
19. Come On To Me- Paul McCartney
20. Blow Away- George Harrison

I love making a list like this, because I genuinely like each song. I don't have to add any filler to complete the list.

“Stand By Me” probably shouldn’t be on there.

Switch “Band On The Run” and “Maybe I’m Amazed”.
I didn’t think I’d include “Maybe I’m Amazed” in the top 20 at all when I started out. I was surprised it ended up making it. Decent song to me, and I do like McCartney’s vocal performance, but nothing to write home about.

“Band On The Run” is easily a top 250 song of all time for me. Probably top 100 when you get down to making the list

If you mean it shouldn’t be on there because he didn’t write it, fine. But if you are including it like I did, I think it’s one of the greatest cover songs of all time.

“...melding hippie idealism and rock'n'roll primal energy in an exhilarating mix...”

Because it sucks. It's the lowest common denominator faux-peaceful hippie intelligentsia song that's ever existed. It's an embarrassment to the legacy of not only Lennon but The Beatles in general.

Ok song for me, but I know a lot of people love it. Most people would include it, but not me. I'd put "Hold On" from that album on the list before "Mother," maybe a couple others too.

"Imagine there's no God or religion or heaven. Now, let's sing this is in a weird gospel choir style. Oh, and let's live without any possessions- now go gas my Mercedes, I'm hungry and need something to eat!!!"
