His two Stanley Cups speak for themselves. He's a big reason why the Kings are able to go for it on offense. They know he's going to make the big save. Let me know when Lundqvist & Price win a cup. It could be awhile.

The Kings are one of the lowest scoring teams in the LEAGUE the last two full NHL seasons. I'm not sure they "go for it" on offense". No offense but that's a ludicrous notion for a Dutter team.

Really? Then maybe you could explain the offensive explosion they had this past postseason. The addition of Gaborik changed the team in a huge way offensively. Quick stood tall in net & they won their 2nd Cup.

It's true, the Kings played a total of 26 games in the postseason, and they averaged 3.38 goals a game.

For the postseason that's quite good. Especially when they have Quick between the pipes. The bottom line for me is a guy who's won 2 Cups in three years should be ranked ahead of guys like Lundqvist & Price who haven't won anything. The goal is to win the Stanley Cup. Second place or lower doesn't matter.

So does that make Shawn Matthias 'Thing 1' and Bo Horvat 'Thing 2'?

So LMAF deserves to be ahead of Price, Lundqvist, Curtis Joseph, Vlad Tretiak and John Vanbiesbrouck to name a few?

Team accomplishments are a terrible way to measure individual play.

I'm not saying Quick isn't full marks for his two runs but that doesn't mean that he's better than other players because they haven't won a Cup.

In that case Dwight King and Jordan Nolan >> John Tavares and Steven Stamkos.

The idea is ludicrous.

The goal for a team is to win the Stanley Cup.

The goal for an individual player is to do as much as he can to help his team try to win the Stanley Cup.

So do you think that Crawford should be higher too?

It's weird they put the best goalie in the league at #7. ;)
They didn't, they put him at #2.

The dude they put at #7 is nothing more than a giant set of equipment kneeling of front of a big steel box.

kidding aside it's hard to argue that bob shouldn't have been higher on that list. Id also certainly put Luongo and Miller above Bernier at this point, maybe not in a year or two but for now

Gee he happened to have one of the best teams ever assembled in front of him & they could only score 1 goal against Team USA. A team that because of the idiots who put it together didn't even have all their best players. I still think Quick is the better goalie. His record in Game 7's speaks for itself.

But this is completely not a factor for Quick because the Kings aren't a great team?
