If Ben makes the hall it's a joke. Eli doesn't deserve it on total body of work either but the strength of two Super Bowl wins will get him in.

you still trying to think of some reasoning to defend your statements, or you just gonna keep spewing junk without backing it up

Other than simply being a Steelers fan, why do you keep bashing Flacco and comparing the two? As a Ravens fan, I'm obviously very happy with Flacco, but he's not in the conversation with Ben right now and I don't see anyone saying he is. You're arguing with nobody and quite obviously butthurt over last year.

Watch them play. Flacco is leagues above Ben. It's not his fault the only legitimate receiver he's had is anquan boldin.

But that's not relevant to this topic. What is that Ben isn't borderline hall of fame, he isn't on the bubble. He's well outside and if he gets in something is severely broken.

I don't think you can argue with this list. Top 6 will be HOF.

For total body of work, yeah, I could live with that list. Although I might drop Romo down a bit. I also agree with some other posts about Luck moving up that list soon, especially if he has some play-off success. And Wilson will get on this list if he gets Seattle to the promised land but it's way too early at this stage to include him. The only problem I have is the "top 6 in HOF" statement. Despite the 2 rings for Big Ben and Eli, neither deserve HOF, imo. Eli's regular seasons have been way too inconsistent and shaky and Big Ben only deserves real credit for the second SB. The first win had nothing to do with him.
Trent Dilfer could have been the QB. Rings are a big plus but shouldn't be given undo weight. They have both been good but not HOF great.

Watch them play. Numbers tell a fraction of the story and always have.

If you watch the mediocrity that is Ben and tell me he's even a pro bowler, let alone a hall of famer, you are the biggest homer on these boards.

He is better. He consistently makes the right throw and gives his guys a shot despite no help whatsoever.

I would switch out Flacco for Luck at the moment. Luck needs at least two seasons to be on this list IMO. My top five would be Peyton, Rodgers ,Brees ,Brady and Romo

I can see where you're coming from on Luck. He's going to be exceptional, but not much credit earned with 25 or so career starts. I think Romo is talented, but I can't put him over Ben or Eli on account of big game performances.

Wilson over Luck? Wow

Wilson: 163-257, 63.4% Comp., 2132 Yards, 8.30 YPA, 17 TDs, 6 INTs., 101.8 Rating, 395 RY, 9-1

Luck: 206-347, 59.4% Comp,, 2430 Yards, 7.00 YPA, 14 TDs, 6 INTs, 87.0 Rating, 231 RY, 7-3

Now keep in mind that Wilson is missing his best three offensive linemen and spent most of the year as the most hurried QB in the league. His #1 WR is Golden Tate. And yet his numbers still put Luck to shame.

Thinking Andrew Luck is better than Russell Wilson is blatantly and indefensibly wrong. And anybody who doesn't rank Wilson in the top ten is clueless. There's no other way to say it. He's been a top six NFL QB this year after doing it last year.

Oh you didnt hear? You cant be à top ten QB when you're on a run first team. ESPN says so.

Seriously, the protection has been à disaster most of the year and Wilson still makes great décisions, moves the offense and plays his best ball with the game on the line.

In my mind, Flacco and Eli are the same guy. They can both look dreadful at times, but come up big more often than not. I consider Ben a notch above.

People you do realize Eli and Ben will be in the HOF one day. As for Brady not being in the top 5 this year, no QB has done more with less. It's amazing giving the injuries to the patriots and the inexperience of his receivers that they only have 2 losses right now.

They may be but neither is even in the ball park of deserving it.

You may want to consider that Flacco has usually played extremely well against the Patriots. That might factor into his point of view.

There are six QBs playing currently who are most likely HOFers. Makes it tough for the young wave(Flacco, Luck, Stafford, Wilson....) to move up any in status until the old gaurd moves along. And it's not like any of them, other than Brady and Peyton, are anywhere near the end. And those two are 15-3 combined this season. It's a tough top six to crack, IMO.
