Crime - some of you will probably take issue with my list, that's fine lol... NOTE: I have never seen any of the Godfathers.

10. Heat
9. L.A. Confidential
8. The Wolf of Wallstreet
7. Pulp Fiction
6. Training Day
5. Goodfellas
4. Seven
3. Catch Me If You Can
2. The Town
1. The Departed

15 years ago (aside from the obvious in that some of these movies weren't out) this list would look quite different. Goodfellas was one of my favorites for the longest time, but idk... became a little stale on like my 47th viewing... still good though lol. Same with Scarface

Honorable Mentions: Inside Man, Collateral, Snatch, Reservoir Dogs, Scarface

That's why your list needs the Godfather I and II

I can live with that list aside from no Godfathers.

LA Confidential should be higher though.

I thought about separating those, but in the end, I felt they were still too similar. Plus The Departed would still be #1 for me lol. Though Goodfellas would be higher.

Clue is an interesting choice, I didn't even think about that. I wouldn't have it on my list as I think all of the aforementioned movies are better, but I do like Clue. Good choice.

I mean, Goodfellas is a crime movie, but I feel like Godfather isn't really a crime thing, just a mafia thing.

I mean, Oceans 11 is a crime movie because there is a heist in there.

Godfather is a lot of family drama, but not a heist.

Well I have never seen the Godfathers so I can't comment on those, but Goodfellas is a straight up mafia movie.

But I wouldn't call any of the Ocean's movies a mob movie.

it has elements of both though.

I mean it has a mafia theme, but the plot has a big heist in it...but there is the coke and Henry being a gangster and everything...

it is more than just a heist movie.

I mean, the movie is a true story about the biggest heist at the time...but it became a more minor part of the movie with the surrounding mafia theme taking over.

I think I'd put it in the heist category.

You could do nuts trying define the criteria.

Yeah to me it is a mafia movie, Just happens to have a heist in it. The focal of the story is around the lead and the mafia, not so much the act of the heist.
