I like your beard.
Cutch stranded...bad call on strike three on Walker, but Walker also watched a strike down the heart of the plate, so....it's the Cubs pitching guys, this is just sad.
Statistically, your best overall run producer should bat second. That's usually your best hitter. I've wanted Cutch in the 2-slot for a couple years now.
Your second and third best hitters can be interchanged between 1 and 4, 1 going to the OBP guy (Marte is not a 1) and 4 going to the guy with the better slugging.
Three and five are even, three being your slugging guy and five being another OBP guy. Then six, seven, eight and nine in descending order, with eight and nine about equal.
Hurdle's lineups are terrible. McCutchen is batting third, where your fourth best hitter should be slotted to optimize the lineup. That alone handicaps the offense.
Good debut for Melancon. No problems there.
Come on bottom of the order...
Can Snider pleasepleasepleaseplease develop into the player he was supposed to be? Is that too much to ask? AND WHY IS SNIDER SQUARING TO BUNT?!
Snider squaring to bunt is the right play. Had he gotten it down, he would have been on first base for sure.
