yikes

Weirdness: The Good Wife, which was co-executive produced by Tony Scott, had an episode last season about romanticizing bridge suicide.

Headin' into twilight
Spreadin' out her wings tonight
She got you jumpin' off the track
And shovin' into overdrive

Highway to the danger zone
I'll take you
Ridin' into the danger zone

One thread on the WC and one on the hockey board.

Assuming, of course, that's what the head shake was about.

i never stray from the Hockey General Board. maybe to the canucks board once in a while but thats it.

This is a terrible loss both professionally and personally.

Last year, I was lucky enough to meet (and, in a very small capacity, work with) him when he was brought on as a visual consultant on the show on which I currently work. We emulate his lighting style whenever/wherever we can.

I don't need to chronicle in any detail the influence his storytelling has had on my life over the last 25+ years. Quite simply, he's one of the reasons I work in film.

RIP, Tony.

It's difficult to imagine the personal demons a person has to deal with that they would feel their only option is to end their life and leave behind a wife and twin sons.

Very sad news.

Sad to hear man. Small consolation, but at least you got to meet him. RIP Tony.

Sadly, it won't stop those who always come out of the woodwork when these things get posted.

They feel it's the appropriate time to get on their high, moral horse.

Yikes. True Romance is one of my favorite movies. My signature is actually from that movie. His resume speaks for itself. The guy was great at what he did.

It appears Director Tony Scott had inoperable brain cancer. He died yesterday after jumping off an LA bridge.

Yikes.

Just... Wow.

Brain Cancer is a nasty motherfucker, for everyone involved. I watched two people go through it. I have vowed that I won't go or put my family through that.

Terrible. I saw a documentary one time that filmed people jumping off a bridge to their death. I think about it every time I cross a high bridge. It's haunting. Can you imagine how scary it must be to be on that edge?
