Assuming, of course, that's what the head shake was about.
This is a terrible loss both professionally and personally.
Last year, I was lucky enough to meet (and, in a very small capacity, work with) him when he was brought on as a visual consultant on the show on which I currently work. We emulate his lighting style whenever/wherever we can.
I don't need to chronicle in any detail the influence his storytelling has had on my life over the last 25+ years. Quite simply, he's one of the reasons I work in film.
RIP, Tony.
It's difficult to imagine the personal demons a person has to deal with that they would feel their only option is to end their life and leave behind a wife and twin sons.

i can never judge on situations like this. we just dont know whats going on in a a persons head. its just sad for everyone involved.
