Ok, thanks
check that link.
Ok, thanks
Where did you read that?
If true, that is dumb and it goes against what I think should be done. Let HC's choose their own staff.
Rumor has it that Gase wanted Fangio and 49ers wanted Tomsula as DC. What a mess this was. Front office is a mess. Only thing that will fix this offseason is winning.
If things head south this year (team performs poorly), Jed is going to be public enemy number one and he will be vilified here. He is gonna have to sneak in and out of games and won't be able to walk the stands like a couple of years ago. Sad because Dr York was in the bad position and Jed had made things better by bringing Harbaugh in. If things go south, he could end up being hated more than his father.

what is your definition of "poorly"?
I ask this cause we already knew we wouldn't get a HC as good as Harbaugh. So if we're expecting a better 3 year start than him, who's in error?
anyway, Jed is already public enemy number one, and will be for a long time. Even if he wins a SB, these things will always be brought up.
fangio said he would of stayed DC if Gase was HC. we would of still had a top 3 DC a top OC as HC and now we have what we have. just sad.
Ian Rapoport said he was told Harbaugh went to York shortly after being hired and told him he wanted a different GM and York actually told Baalke that and Trent never got over it. There was bad blood between them his entire time there. So you had a new HC that wanted a different GM and an owner clearly dumb enough to actually tell his current GM that.
It was all badly botched from start to finish.
From the general board:
Under 500. I was thinking something like 6-10 and missing the playoffs. I think the one thing going for Tomsula right now are the expectations aren't very high for him now, especially from his critics. So if the team has a winning record and can also make the playoffs, I think the criticism will die down.
