Unchanged Money...his back is still to the play and he's seeing in on the board...if he was facing the play, and took a step onto the field, different story.

Why would he take a huge step sideways in the middle of watching the play on the Jumbotron which anyone (who is not blind) can see from anywhere? There was no "disorientation" as he has stated. That was a large, calculated step sideways to the very edge of the field where he then performed his awkward little shuffle right in front of Jacoby.

Then, of course, there is the matter of the shit-eating grin on his face after the play was over.

Above shows he's looking to his right (not the board at the time) anticipating Jones' presence and DOES step onto the field.

There is nothing in that gif that shows it wasn't unintentional and he just lost where he was at on the sideline. How would a guy react if he thought he was on the sideline, but wasn't and a runner was going past? Probably just like that. He probably heard them coming, that's why he looked over his shoulder.

There is literally no way you can determine this based on any information we have. Nothing Tomlin did was inconsistent with being disoriented of where he was on the field.

Bottom line is this and only this, he was on the field and he never should have been. He apologized for that and was fined for that, End Of Story.

The bottom line is he intentionally cheated and any unbiased person with at least half a brain can clearly see that.

I guarantee you won't be seeing Tomlin on the Competition Committee for very much longer.

It was was obvious that tomlins actions were intentional. He was al grins after the play was over. The officials should also be fined for not throwing a flag.

i'm of the opinion that the steelers organization should somehow be penalized (drop a 3rd or 4th round draft pick 10 spots?) but just because he was all smiles does not mean it was intentional. maybe just the opposite.

perhaps he was too amped up and realized that his action potentially helped save a touchdown and he was just laughing at the irony.

haven't you guys ever done something unintentional and then chuckled about it afterword? maybe spilled a glass of water on a friend on accident or something? does smiling mean you did it on purpose? that's the dumbest logic i've ever heard.

with that being said, he may have done it on purpose (i don't think he did) but smiling hardly proves or even helps prove it.

I hear ya, and I believe you when you say "there was no", because it's your opinion, your interpretation of what happened. But...I say if you put 100 unbiased people in a room and showed the video, all 100 would not come to the same conclusion....for or against.

If you're not willing to admit that much, I think the Raven in you is clouding your thinking...lol.

Okay...so maybe you have less than half a brain. Maybe out of instinct (as a Patriots fan) you immediately go into defense mode when you hear the word "cheat". Who knows, but the fact that Tomlin intentionally cheated is about as obvious as obvious can get.

Why? That thinking runs counter to no intent imo...I think if it can be proven he intended to interfere, PIT should have some type of draft penalty, but not otherwise. I think he was a little embarassed to tell you the truth, not snickering as if he got away with something.

I actually like Tomlin and this incident doesn't change that. I just wish he had given a sincere apology. There's a huge difference between apologizing for a "mistake" and apologizing for a "calculated action".

Doesn't matter if it was intentional or unintentional. It was wrong. He knew it was wrong. He admitted he knew it was wrong.

Here's your fine. Don't get caught doing that again.

First, it's not a fact - it's an OPINION and yours means no more than anyone else's.

Second, PROVE it was intentional.

Here, here!!!

He didn't pussy foot around the issue and try to make excuses. He came out and said that he's held to a higher standard, he shouldn't have done it and I don't expect him to fight the fine.

He apologized for getting "disoriented". Oh yeah...he definitely owned it. Way to man up there Tomlin.

He won't fight the fine because both he and the Steelers' organization want this to go away as quietly as possible.
