I don’t get it, people are saying what he did was wrong but it got the results Izzo intended so what is the issue? If you don’t want your kid getting yelled at by a coach then teach him math instead of playing sports. What’s next, not allowing the opponent to trash talk because it hurts their feelings?

Not the kids actually...it's the wimpy parents and the participation trophy era of junior sports. Kid probably spent his early days never getting yelled at, and timeout punishment whereas my kid got yelled at and spanked when they screwed up.

My daughter (30, and an HR manager) calls me one day and said she raised her voice at a girl only a few years younger than her for some mistakes she had been repeated making and the girl broke down in tears...she said..thanks dad.

Agreed. When you are recruited by Izzo, his reputation precedes him and you know what you are going into when you sign with MSU. What Izzo did was something my dad did to me on a weekly basis, and I survived.

Yeah, when you're a coach making 4 million dollars a year and are the highest paid public employee in the state then yes, you're working for a big business. He gets paid for production in this tournament. That's his industry. Only a twit would see it otherwise.

I didnt read the 50 replies. BUt 100% agree with you. COllege athletes, getting yelled at by a coach. WHoopity doo da. Thats sports. Ive never been a pro, Ive played college and semi's. I got my ass chewed out all the time. Thats how it is

I like college sports but college coaches and the whole "wise old man" line of bs is a complete joke. Players make the game, not the coaches.
