Yeah, there are really a lot of positions you can question with all the depth. I'm just thinking what happens when Hamilton is healthy? He very well may ride the bench but Desmond is looking like a guy you want in the lineup every day. Also, what do you do if Profar is performing really well at that point? Great problems to have.

I think next offseason is going to be very interesting if some of these young guys continue to produce. The team this time next year could look quite different.

Not worried about any of our veteran pitchers right now.

I have my concerns on Holland. If they lay off of that breaking pitch down and in at the ankles they can just sit on that fastball. I want Holland to do well because we need him to do well and I like him as a person.

You think holland only has the slider to right handed hitters? He's got a pretty nice change too. He's not a 2 pitch pitcher. Are we really having this conversation about Holland right now?

He always gets hard all spring training and then makes his last two starts the real deal.

Colby I am used to what he does in ST so you are right as I am not concerned about him.

You shouldn't be concerned with Holland either.

I really like the young guys we have that will be coming up in the next year. That article I posted said it was well hit.

I have a feeling (barring injury) that Profar spends a good chunk of this season in AAA

Desmond is a wild card, playing LF for the first time on an extended basis and his struggles from last year

DDJ might not cut it in CF, and will his offense continue to be solid enough in the leadoff spot

Moreland and his health issues and struggles against LHPs

But as Romeo said, these things have a way of working themselves out

Catcher seems like a position they are constantly trying to improve, and we'll see if Chirinos can continue the solid work

Out of all our positions on the field 3B, SS, 2B and RF are the most secure due to financial commitments/production

Yeah, some of those hrs would be outs in most parks. My concern earlier was him getting ahead in the count early but then losing the batter. The 7 hits in 3.1 IP wasn't super promising either. Still I imagine he is tinkering a bit and its a strange field for sure. No need for worry at this point though.

I think anyone is right to be concerned when a pitcher is not pitching to expectations, we can say its tinkering and thats what we truly believe but those things have a way of carrying over to the regular season sometimes

Personally I'm not worried but I think a person's worry is justified too

When it comes to veterans I don't worry unless it carries over to the regular season.
