WOW...LSU would have had a top 10 team....

Yep they also have Craig Victor who is a transfer from AZ. He's young and raw but has a nice touch around the hoop. He should develop well for them, too. I think he'll be cleared in December?

I'm not sure he'd get drafted, but that was somebody I missed. I'll add him once he decides if he leaves.

Wisconsin will be playing a ton of unproven players next year, it will be interesting to see how it plays out. I still think they'll be a tournament team, because that's what Bo does. Plus having Hayes and Koening back is huge. It will be interesting to see who plays around them. I know they have a kid coming in from Minnesota who was a top 100 player, that the gophers couldn't land. :L

Illikanian actually was very interested in gophs but at the time there wasn't a lot of expected PT. Now there is. Shame cuz he's a pretty solid player.

Also when the hell did Alexander announce? What an idiot. I'd be so pissed if my team took that pile of garbage first round.

Justin Anderson has declared for the NBA draft. Just a huge decision. UVA was primed to be a top 5 team next year with him. Should be a late first round pick.

That makes it 30 underclassmen to declare for the NBA.

I'm SHOCKED. This is one of those decisions that will have a huge impact on next season. There are certain guys that simply change the landscape of their team for next year with their decision, and this is definitely one of them. They go from being right there competing with UNC for the ACC crown to being a tier below, IMO, with this departure

Totally agree. They are now a step down IMO. I still think they could be a fringe top 25 team next year, but the offensive issues will be there like they were without him this year. Bennett is great so they should still be top 25ish next year.

Reading about idiotic decisions like this and Tokoto's makes me all the more happy for this season that Sam and Frank just gave us. Both of them were projected to at the end of the 1st (the same place, if not a little before, Anderson) and they came back to be a part of a great team.

And of course in their case, karma worked out. They went from being projected between 25 and 35 to between 12 and 22. When I see a guy like Anderson coming out despite a great team around him, it just tells me that he doesn't think he can improve himself much. That's not the type of message I want from a draft pick if I am an NBA GM.

Again, it's really easy to sit back and judge these kids and say how stupid they are or how selfish they are, but none of us have any idea what their situations are like i most cases.

If you're looking at it purely from a basketball perspective, it might not be the right choice, but some of these kids might have a few things to think of besides just basketball.

Its tough to make an exact comparison though. Last years draft class was much better than this draft class will be so it made sense for those guys to come back. I think Tokoto entering is a mistake. He's not guaranteed to be selected in the first round. I think Anderson will go in round one and in that case he'll make at worst about 2.8 million dollars over 3 years. Tough to pass that up. And I'm not sure Anderson can improve his stock much. Before he got injured he was shooting like 48% from 3. Although next year's draft class projects to be even worse than this one so by that alone I guess he could have conceivably improved his stock.

Anderson looks like a guy the Spurs will pick and make into a stud two way player. I reallllly like Tokoto. Wouldn't mind him with one of the Sixers early Second round picks. He has all the attributes of a btter NBA role palyer than college player.

Ron Baker and Fred Van Vleet are both returning to Wichita State. Should make them a consensus top 15 team next year.

Wiltjer thinking about declaring is laughable.

Could go undrafted…. he really should stay another year and try to work on his weaknesses before declaring. Zaga would be a top 10 team for sure with him.

Gotta love idiots who declare when they're projected to be a 2nd round pick or undrafted?

If you're a lock to go early second round then maybe I could see it, like top 40 on every site/according to GM's…. go for it. But when NBA execs say there's a good chance you go undrafted or late second round at best I just don't understand the thought process behind it.

Jeff Goodman tweeting something out saying he talked with GM's and they believe he will go undrafted and could use another year. If that's not a wake up call then idk what is.

Next year's class is not going to be very strong either so he could play his way into the late first or early second if he has a great year. Look what McDermott and Kaminsky both did by coming back another year. Only helped themselves. He isn't as good as either of them, but he does need another year.
