This is shocking, coming out of the blue. Considering how much she has labored over the years as we watch her painfully flame out in tournament after tournament. To be able to come out on top of this decent field is simply amazing. Congratulations!

SHOCKING is an understatement! Who would have thoght it would be Venus and not Serena to win! it was something to see!!!!!!

yeah, she did really well

i always want to see her do well, but i'm hoping this is a big step to another run at wimbledon. long ways away, but it would be a wonderful thing to see.
